I ran home, my vision blurred by my tears.

When I reached home, I unlocked the front door and collapsed on the couch sobbing and eventually falling asleep.

*gun shots* I ran downstairs "mum, dad?" I said, I walked into the living room to find their dead bodies and I screamed.

I woke up and looked over at the other couch, there sat Miles, he was watching me, "you alright?" he asked calmly, but with no emotion, "nightmare" I replied rubbing my face, I looked back at him, "are you alright?" I asked, "I'm fine" he replied, still no emotion.

"I'm sorry I didn't get you in time, I wish I'd been quicker", "Celine it's fine, you did your best and that's what counts" he told me firmly.

I didn't say anything, I was overcome by emotion and the fact that he was in the same room as me, "wait, where's Ben?" I asked "he's at the training centre still, I bought the car back".

I paused for a second before standing up and walking down to my bedroom, closing the door behind me and walking over to the mirror.

My face was stained with tears and my hair now resting past my shoulders. I placed my forehead on the dresser trying not to break down again, then the door opened and Miles stepped inside.

"Are you going to tell me why you ran out like you did or do I have to kill myself wondering" he asked "sorry I-" I started "Celine , I didn't ask for an apology I asked why you ran out", "I didn't like hurting you, or seeing you in pain" I replied quietly, I looked up at him and I could tell from his expression that wasn't the answer he expected, "oh" he said simply.

"Listen Miles, I am truly sorry for how I treated you, I-" I tried to speak again, but he grabbed my waist and put his forehead against mine, pushing me backwards slightly "just stop talking" he insisted.

And then it happened his lips hit mine, it sent the same electric spark through my body.

He pulled me close until there were no gaps between us and kissed me like he was making up for all the days we hadn't.

I kissed him back and wrapped my arms around the back of his neck, tangling my fingers in the waves of his hair.

He turned around and stumbled, sending us both crashing down onto my bed, "you alright" he whispered, his eyes wide from excitement, "yeah" I gasped "don't stop".

He pressed his mouth against mine and ran his hands all over, from my thighs, to my upper waist.

Then like what happens almost every time, someone walks in.

"Ahhh" came Ben's voice, "the lovely make out session".

Miles pushed himself off me and ran a hand through his hair, "Ben" he said, embarrassed.

Then I got up and pushed my shirt down, my cheeks hot and pink.

"Right" said Ben "Celine , Maria has set up a more advanced program so that we can detect HNS members faster and more efficiently", we followed him out into the living room, where on the coffee table lay blueprints and documents about the new system.

We all sat down and Ben started pointing out and explaining the important parts.

"These satellites send out signals that pick up any programmed frequencies, like if someone is armed or if someone is wearing the HNS logo" said Ben, "right, so it will give Maria a heads up, so she can give me a heads up" I asked, "correct" said Ben.

I nodded, my mind more focused on what had happened before, than on the current situation.

"Now" said Ben, "we have more pressing matters" he said, shoving the documents off the coffee table.

"Are you guys going to tell me what happened before?", "HE STARTED IT!" I yelled pointing at Miles, "no I did not" he replied, tackling me to the ground.

I was laughing so hard that he was forced to get off me so I could breathe, "you alright there?" Miles asked, all I could do was laugh as I buried my face in his shoulder.

"Ok, ok. I'm good" I said, wiping the tears of laughter off my face.

"I thought it would have been the other way around" Ben said honestly, "well when she doesn't stop talking" said Miles "that's one way to shut her up", I playfully hit him and stood up to go get a glass of water, all the laughter had given me a dry throat.

"I don't feel like cooking, and am going to order take-aways so what do you guys want?" I asked.

"Pizza" Ben yelled, "same here" yelled Miles.

"Ok I'll order pizza, to be delivered" I told them.

Half an hour later the pizza man arrived holding three boxes of pizza, "a cheesy garlic, ham and cheese and a hawaiian?" he asked "yup, that's us" I replied "and you paid online?", "yes, but take this tip anyway" I said handing him $25, he looked shocked "wow, thank you" he said, "don't mention it, thanks for the pizzas" and with that he left and I closed the door.

We ate our pizzas (well they ate theirs all, I only ate ¾) while watching the conjuring, a horror film from 2021.

I spent most of the time with my face buried in Miles's shoulder, because I was terrified.

At the end of the movie I declared I was going to have nightmares and made my way to bed.
