HNS Takedown

Chapter 12

"Go get geared up" said Maria sternly, "you'll need a bulletproof chest pad" she added.

"Right", I said, running down to the armory, pulling my phone out on the way.

I dialed Miles, "come on, pick up", I whispered, "hey whats up?" came Miles's voice from the other end.

"Umm there is an army of HNS members, and I-I have to kill them all, I need you to keep Alaina safe, I love you and-" I was on the verge of tears, "hey, hey, hey, it's going to be alright, how many are there?" He asked, "there's 35 Miles, how am I going to-" I started, "listen to me, you are the strongest person I've ever met, you can do this".

I paused for a moment "ok, ok, just in case. I love you" and I hung up.

Pulling on my gear, I grabbed two long swords and slipped them into the sword straps that were on my back.

I took a deep breath and left the room.

"You ready?" Maria asked, there was a hint of concern in her voice, "as ready as I'll ever be" I replied nervously.

"We'll be in your ear the entire time" said Charlie, "good luck".

I left the training centre and then placed my earpiece in, "right I'm in, where to?" I asked, "they're on the highway and are getting closer with every step" I heard Charlie say, "right, I'll make a start".

I ran, and didn't stop. If this was going to be my last fight, I might as well die knowing I gave it my all.

"Holy, shit" I whispered, there were a lot of them and the people who had been on the highway were turning around and driving away, but some were yelling at them to get off the highway, (sadly they ended up being shot).

"Oi!" I yelled "you looking for something", I spread my arms out and they took one look at me then ran full speed towards me.

I pulled out my long swords from their straps.

"This will be good".

"WE HAVE TO HELP HER!" screamed Alaina, "we can't" said Miles, "she said we had to keep you safe", "I DON'T CARE WHAT SHE SAID!".

"Hey," said Ben, he put both of his hands on her shoulders, "Celine, is just doing her job and she will make it, I promise you", "but you can't promise that" whispered Alaina tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Well I just have, and if I break it, I will personally kill myself" he said.

The scent of blood filled the air and dead HNS members lay on the ground.

I was surrounded, my swords out in front of me for safety. One of them jumped at me, slashing my cheek with his short sword, "ah" I spat.

I ducked and kicked at him, sending him falling, then I drove my sword home, causing blood to spray up.

"Attack!" one of them screamed, I was fighting them off left, right and center, my vision blurred by the speeding black colors.

I tried to get my head back in the game, but I couldn't concentrate, they kicked me and I fell to the ground, my body hit the floor sending unbelievable pain through my body, a scream escaped my throat and rippled through the air.

I heard someone load a gun and they aimed it towards my head.

"HEY LEAVE HER ALONE" came a voice, I lifted my head up slightly, to see Charlotte, she was standing there her face clearly showing how scared and angry she was.

"I SAID. LET. HER. GO!" Charlotte screamed again, but they weren't having it. The HNS member with the gun, raised it and fired.

"CHARLOTTE!" I screamed, the bullet hit her in the chest and she fell to the floor.

Anger pulsed through my veins, I kicked the HNS members off me, got up and slashed them, letting the anger and sadness peel them to pieces.

They were still running towards me, but they were no match, they dropped like flies, surrounded by their own blood.

The only one left was the man with the gun. My blood felt hot and I walked towards him.

He continued to fire and I continued to deflect the bullets with my swords.

But he didn't move.

I knocked the gun out of his hands, placed my swords against his throat "this is for killing Charlotte" I said, and I slashed his throat, blood splattering all over me.

He fell, his body limp and cold.

I turned and ran towards Charlotte's crumpled body, just as the vans pulled up to collect the HNS members' bodies.

"Charlotte?" I whispered, tears welling up in my eyes, "Celine" she choked, blood dripping out of the corner of her mouth, "I don't want to die" she said quietly, "you should have stayed away from here" I told her, as I rocked her slowly dying body in my arms, "I know, but I was worried" she told me, "shh shh, hang in there" I whispered, my tears dripping off my face onto hers.

"You are an amazing person, Celine" she said "and I love you", "I love you too" I whispered back, and she died.

I was overcome with emotion.

"Celine!" Charlie called, "get in the van, we have to leave!"

I stood up gently placing Charlotte's body on the asphalt, I looked at Charlie who was still yelling at me to hurry up.

I ignored him and instead turned around and ran, I'd never run so fast in my life.

I ran past moving traffic all the way back to the training centre.

I stood by the front door of the training centre, which was ajar.

Maria came out and saw me, "are you alright?" she asked, I just looked at her. Then I burst into tears and collapsed, the pain in my body left me wondering whether I was going to make it or not.

But at this point.

I didn't even care.
