"Well this is all very touching" came Maria's snarky voice, "where's my hug?".

I pulled away from Alaina, and turned to Maria, I slapped her, "don't worry Maria, you won't be here much longer, so I'm sure dead relatives will give you a hug in heaven, oh wait. You're going to hell" I told her.

She went deathly pale, her eyes wide with fright.

"You wouldn't kill me" she managed to say, "wanna bet?' I asked.

She didn't reply, but I could hear her grinding her teeth in anger, "don't stress, I will make it swift, but still painful" I told her.

"You wouldn't!" she yelled again "I am like your mother and you care about me!" She was crying now, it felt like my heart had been wrenched out of my chest "I don't want to die!".

I wanted to fall for her tricks, but she had ruined my life! Killed my family, and I wasn't going to have it.

"DON'T START CRYING NOW!" I screamed at her, "YOU KILLED MY FAMILY! AND INNOCENT PEOPLE!", "NO, YOU KILLED INNOCENT PEOPLE!" Maria yelled back, "THEY WERE YOUR CREATION, SO YOU'RE THE ONE WITH BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS!" I was finding it hard to breathe.

"I did what I thought was right. You cold bloodedly killed innocents to fulfill your insane plan" I told her calmly.

"But I will not let you go, AND THERE IS NO FUCKEN WAY I WILL EVER FORGIVE YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!".

Tears of anger ran down my cheeks and hit the dirty concrete floor.

Alaina stepped forward, she looked just as angry as I did.

"I hope that god shows you mercy, because we sure as hell will not" she said.

Maria still wasn't giving up, "YOU CAN'T KILL ME AND YOU WON'T KILL ME!" She screamed, "SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!" I screamed back "I AM SICK OF YOUR VOICE! GOODBYE!"

I pulled the assassin dagger out from my belt, and walked towards Maria, who was squirming in her chair.

Crying, I said "this is for killing my family, and people you didn't even know, any last words?", "The HNS will rise again, and you won't be prepared for it," she said.

And I shoved the dagger through her throat, she didn't even have time to scream, blood sputtered out of her mouth and her eyes rolled into the back of her head.

I yanked the dagger out of her throat, letting the blood pour down her navy blue blouse.

Her now dead body slumped forward in the chair she was tied to, it made me sick to think that she used to be the sweetest person who had a strong heart and mind, but it turned out she was a cold blooded killer who wanted power and acknowledgement.

I was trying to hold in my tears, but I couldn't, dropping my dagger.

I burst into tears and felt Miles wrap his arms around me and pull me into him.

Alaina turned to Ben, "we should burn her body" she whispered to him, not wanting to make my crying worse.

He nodded, and together they carried Maria's limp body towards the burner, placing her into it, we watched as her body turned into ash, Miles still had his arms around me and I was still clutching his shirt, my memories of Maria burning away with her.

"We should get out of here" said Ben, "you're right" said Alaina, "will you be ok Mi Hermana?" She asked.

I tried to answer, but I choked on my tears. "Come on babe, let's go, you'll be ok" Miles told me, he picked me up and I buried my face in his chest, closing my eyes and slipping into the darkness that lay ahead.

And as I felt the motor of the car start I thought unconsciously, 'if circumstances had been different, would I have kept Maria alive?'

I expected to wake up at the training centre, but I ended up in my own bed. I could hear Alaina, she was singing a Spanish lullaby, the one that our mother had sung to us as children.

I started singing along with her, and she smiled and lay down next to me, "are you feeling better?" My sister asked, "much better" I replied, "although I did expect to wake up in the training centre".

"We considered that option" Alaina told me, "that's where Ben and Miles are, they need to sort out the chaos that has erupted there".

I went to get out of bed, but she stopped me "you're tired and hurt, and you've been through enough, let them handle it", I lay back down and stared at the ceiling, sighing I rested my aching head on Alainas shoulder and we lay there eventually falling asleep and not waking up till the next day.
