{EMILY's POV}

"Everybody has something to hide Tristan" was the last thing I said to Tristan before I went inside Derek's car. I got inside and Derek was looking at me.

"I saw what happened" he said
"I just talked to him Derek and he is happy with Tahyna now" I said
"It's not that. It's your reaction when he hugged you. Emily, please tell me if it still hurts and we'll go to the doctor"
"It's fine Derek and the doctor already told me that I'll be fine. I just need to rest I guess"
"Alright but if I saw that reaction again.."
"You won't Derek, I'll be fine in a couple of days" I reassured him.

We went back home and Derek told me to get some rest. Julianne went home after our trip to Starbucks with Mark. I really wanted to talk to my mom right now and tell her what I've been doing lately. I talk to her every night but today I wanted to talk to her face to face. I went to my bedroom and opened my laptop. I didn't want to change first because I don't want her to see my bruises from last night.

"Hey mom!"
"Hey sweetie, how are you?""
"I'm good mom. I miss you a lot"
"We miss you too honey. How is Derek and Mark?"
"They are fine mom. Is Gavin and Ricky there?"
"Oh your brothers went out with their girlfriends"
"Oh what about dad?"
"He is working late tonight"
"Did you eat already mom?"
"Yes I did actually. Are you taking good care of yourself honey?"
"Yes mom" I said.. "Mom I have to tell you something"
"What is it?"
"Derek and I are dating now. He is my boyfriend" I said
"Great!"
"I'm sorry what?" I thought she was going to be mad at me for not telling her sooner
"It's about time. You know I've always wanted you to be with Derek. He asked for permission years ago but you never noticed him" she said
"really? I didn't expect your reaction to be like that"
"Why not? Derek is a nice guy and that is partly the reason why I agreed for you to stay there with them"
"I know he is" then someone knocked on my door.
"It's open" I said
"Hey Em, I made you some snacks" said Derek "Oh sorry I didn't know you were calling your mom" he added
"It's fine Derek" I said
"See why I like him for you" said my mom.
"What?" Derek said with smile
"Nothing!"
"Oh. Hi Mrs. Wilde" said Derek and waved at the camera
"Hey future son-in-law" said my mom
"Mom! we are not getting married yet" I said
"I like the sound of that" said Derek
"Oh honey I have to go. I forgot I have to pick up some groceries for dinner later"
"Alright mom, see you later. I love you"
"Love you too honey. Bye Derek. Take care of her okay?"
"Yes Kate. I will" then he waved goodbye. The call ended and Derek was looking at me with a smirk on his face with his arms crossed.

"What?"
"You were talking about me?" he said
"I just told her that we are together now"
"What did she say?"
"She said great"
"Oh good" he said "so you don't imagine yourself wearing a white gown, with me waiting by the altar?" he added
"I do, but not yet" I said and hugged him
"I can't wait for that day to happen" he said then we kissed. Long and passionate kiss. I pulled away from the kiss realizing it's hot in my room
"Hey can I change for a sec? this shirt is killing me right now" I said he nodded and sat on my bed. I went to my washroom to change into a tank top. I got out and sat next to Derek. He touched my shoulder and slide his hands up and down my bruises

"I can't believe I let this happen to you" he said
"It's not your fault Derek, you know that"
"I don't want anything like this to happen to you again" "
"Don't worry Derek, I know you'll take care of me"
"I will. I love you Emily"
"I love you more Derek Hough"

The rest of the day, Derek and I was just watching movies and eating.. Two of my favourite things and spending time with the one I love. He stayed at my room after I called my mom and she told me to stay close to my laptop because my brothers will call me soon. I heard someone calling me on Skype, it was my brothers. I got up my bed from Derek's arms. I changed quickly so I can hide my bruises again.
