Alex in Wonderland

Ch.18 Back home

So for the rest of the day, everyone hunged out with Alice around Wonderland, and that night, they went to the garden of live flowers and played with the fairies and Wonderland animals.

"They're so, beautiful" Alice said when she saw the fairies fly in the night sky. One of the fairies went up to Alice and gave her a flower.

"Oh thank you" Alice smiled as fairies played with her blonde hair.

While Alice played with the fairies, Maddie sat on a tree trunk while Alex stood against a tree and watched the fairies do their magic.

"I'm proud of you" Maddie said "I knew you could do it, even though you didn't kill it cause, well, it was your mother and all, but still, I'm glad you were brave enough to do it".

"Cari helped me find my true courage" Alex said "Before she changed, she must feel lucky to have those wings now".

"Yeah" Maddie agreed "I've always wondered what it's like to fly, it'd make me feel free" she said as she spread her arms out and pretended to fly, but she lost her balance and she fell off the tree trunk, but Alex quickly caught her in his arms.

"You ok?" he asked.

"Yeah" she said.

"Well you gotta watch out next time" he said as he put her down "There might not be someone there to catch you".

"Man, I wish you can stay" Maddie said "We had alot of fun together".

"Hey" Alex said "I'll always come back".

"Yeah, but it would be great if you stayed. And um, there's something I want to give you before you go".

"What?"

"This" Maddie put her hands on his face and kissed his lips, Alex kissed back as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in. Fairies then formed a heart around them with their fairy dust. As they finished kissing, they looked into each other's eyes and smiled.

"You too lovebirds done making out?" they turned and saw Alice laughing at them.

"Mom!" Alex exclaimed "Were you watching us the whole time?!"

"A little" she said "But I think we should go now".

"Oh" Alex and Maddie said.

"I'll be back soon" Alex said to Maddie "May be tomorrow".

"Ok" Maddie sighed as Alex went to his mother and she placed the small mirror on the ground and it enlarged into a bigger mirror. And there in the mirror showed the party.

"Ready?" Alice asked Alex.

"I guess" Alex said "I wonder how they'll react when they finally see you after many years. What are you gonna tell them if they ask you where've you been, they might not believe you if you tell them about the whole being turned into a Jabberwocky thing".

"Oh don't worry, I've got it covered" Alice said.

Alex waved at Maddie as they walked through the looking-glass.
