40 minutes before the shut down of the invader's control tower.
"This is insane. We can't even get in contact with Adam and Shou..." Master Julius says dodging an attack from a humanoid bot.
MHXA jumps down onto it's shoulders sending a blast of red lightning into it.
Jeanne D'Arc is rushing down a triangular bot, smacking away it's servant-ending ammunition with her flagpole, leaping up and jabbing the thing in it's cannon. Amongst its destruction, a mana bird that's coming apart flies through it and knocks itself into Julius.
"Hm?!"
Julius is shot with a visual of what happened at his home and had been delivered a duffle bag.
"Thanks Medea..." he looks towards a transport ship that's headed to the big ship in the sky as it still shines down it's red light.
"Ladies, we're moving onward! To the light!" The Master shouts, picking up his bag.
"Very well," MHXA complies along with Jeanne who nods.
The three of them cut through an alley behind the shopping center, but only get so far. Barricades have been set up around the area preventing further access, on top of all the robots that guarded the area.
Hiding behind an apartment building, the three scope out the barrier.
"There. MHXA, can you see the door?" Julius directs his servant's attention to a mass of bots in a defensive formation.
"Yes. Are we really going to have to go through with this?" MHXA asks, somewhat unmotivated.
"Of course."
"The people of Unisberg have been nothing but good to us. It's only right we help them in return, we must defend our home even at the cost of our lives." Jeanne explains with conviction.
"Let's try and focus on not dying though..." Julius adds. MHXA nods her head.
"So, have you devised a plan?" Jeanne asks her partner.
"Yeah. We rush the door. Pretty simple right?"
"Julius. Isn't that too simple?"
"Well yeah, in essence... but here's the seasoning..."
After two minutes the three head out from their hiding.
"Targets sighted... brrr, co...commence capture a..and execution... tion."
Julius pulls out two shock batons and a submachine gun with several clips. Jeanne let's her flag loose and waves it high. MHXA readies herself with her red lightning.
"Oh flag of mine, protect our comrades! Luminosité Éternelle!"
"You know every time you do that, I can't help but find it attractive." Julius says, stepping forth.
"Now is not the time... but if it brings some level of comfort... then I'm doing my part." Jeanne looks at Julius and smiles.
"Right. After this we're having a grand buffet!" Julius shouts charging forward, shooting at any exposed robot parts in sight. The robots begin shooting in kind, their pain inducing rays being caught in a beautifully bright light protecting the three in their attempted siege.
10 minutes in, with the blessings running out, the robots begin to gain the upper hand.
"Heh... this is a bit dicier than I thought... " Julius tosses aside his gun and switches to his batons.
"Stay strong! We will prevail!" Jeanne shouts running through a robot with her spear.
MHXA covers for Jeanne, shocking robots attempting to flank her.
