S2 Chapter 7: Fight in the Square

"This just in! It appears a Master has arrived on the scene! Five people have been reported to have several minor injuries and one under critical condition. Sam, just what are we looking at here?"

"I can't believe it. The Unisberg city community has not seen anything like this before. A Heroic Spirit so they're called, going amok. Whatever may have happened, their pudding was not in the office fridge for lunch. Back over to you Brandy."

A news chopper flies over the city square. Down below, the Black Knight stands surrounded by Master Adam and his servants. She's charging her blade with a dark aura underneath the clear Unisberg sky.

"If you continue this! We'll have to use more force!" Adam shouts, but the recipient doesn't seem to care.

An arrow, though this time set ablaze in its fullest, attracts the attention of the masked girl. When the arrow is still midflight, the girl swings her sword like a baseball, letting loose a blast of red and black aura tearing through the city square, scathing the surrounding buildings and evaporating the arrow before flickering out into a ghastly smoke.

During this, Ushiwakumaru had made an extensive lunge to tackle her Master to the ground. Musashi ducks down and Archer, though a great distance away, sees the beam swinging right for them. She jumps to a lower rooftop, dodging the attack, though where she had been was completely eradicated.

"That's it!" Adam shouts. With his hand held out he procures little bolts of mana and shoots them at high speeds.

The Black Knight turns swiftly but is shot in the arm allowing for Ushiwakumaru to regain her composure and dash through her opponent. Upon taking her final step, five blows had finished their delivery upon the Masked girl's body. As if shot up, the girl reacts to each impact, and with no time to breath Musashi comes in for a heavy blow to the head.

Planting her foot down the Black Knight goes to counter Musashi, but an arrow is shot blasting her arms out of position. Musashi's strike lands across the mask, shattering into several pieces, sending the girl into a flip backwards. When landing, her blade is charged yet again with an evil energy and then her body, the winds around whipping into a dark cyclonic blaze. Her platinum blonde bangs flaring every which way, and her piercing yellow eyes full of focus.

"Cry out! It's time to fall to the gr--"

A hospital bed strapped with five grenades crashes into the Black Knight and explodes.

"What the hell is going on?!" Adam shouts.

Nightingale is casually walking up to the commotion.

"I saw that people needed medical assistance," Nightingale says as she looks down to a man sitting across the street holding his arm surrounded by rubble from the blast, "You're the first!"

Nightingale runs over to the helpless man. Adam lets out a sigh of relief before turning his attention back to the newly formed crater in the city square pavement.

"You think that was enough?" Musashi says while going to her partner.

"Shh, you're not supposed to say those things!" Adam says.

"My Lord, should we finish her here and now?"

"Agh... is there any other way..." Adam contemplates.

A minivan pulls up and Julius runs out with MHXA and Drake.

"Adam! What's the situation?!" Master Julius is entering the plaza.

"We are engaging with the enemy servant... but I can't help but think that this one ain't it." Adam says shakeyly.

"Master she's gettin' back up! I'm letting loose!" Drake shouts, materializing cannons from behind her.

From within the smoke the Black Knight, staggering to get up, imbues themselves with their sinister energy once more.

"Excalibur Mor--"

BWOOM

"Rooooooooooar," Heracles yells out having smashed the Black Knight into the ground.

"Guys! What did I miss?!" Shou yells running into the plaza.

"Daaaaamn," Julius and Adam say, both flinching from the sight.

"Nothing now... I kinda feel bad." Adam says walking towards Heracles pinning down the girl.

"Oh. Doesn't look like nothing," Shou replies looking at Julius.

"I just got here myself, " Julius says, looking around to see the damages caused.

The girl is knocked out cold.

"So this is the one who hurt Medea? Mhm. She's just a kid..." Julius looks concerned.

"Master. That is Darthtoria, a respected Saber of the universe and a mentor of the Dark R.O.U.N.D.S" MHXA chimes.

"Huh. Between you and her, you've both had red lights..." Julius says.

"You think someone else is behind this?" Shou asks.

"That is not the bringer of calamity."

The three Masters turn around to see Thrúd hovering down to them. The other servants are surrounding the area to keep people at bay.

"Thrúd! You look hurt! Where are the others?!" Adam steps forth.

"Thank you for your concern, but we are fine. My sisters are resting. As for the interloper... while a red light was depicted, their light was not only red but violet and black as well."

"Right." Adam says in agreement.

"Are we really going to take a chance? We need to take her out if she's going to pull something like this again." Shou says.

"If naming conventions are anything to go by then this may be the Alter of King Artoria." Julius adds.

"King Artoria? Don't you mean Arthur?" Shou says.

"King Arthur, why are they a girl?" Adam asks.

Three look at each other thinking about it for a few seconds.

"You know some things don't need to be answered right away." Julius says.

"Yeah, let's not go down that rabbit hole." Adam agrees.

"So how are we going to handle them?" Shou presses.

"Well, given my position with two Alters and the other girls, she may not inherently be all that bad," Julius loosened up," If MHXA respects them, then I guess they're fine. But I can't look over the fact she hurt Medea."

"I can uh... I can take her in. I mean we have the most space and I'm sure you two have a lot on your hands already." Adam says while looking at the sleeping Artoria Alter.

"You're serious?" Shou folds his arms looking between the girl and Adam.

"Yeah..." Adam says, " I'll make it up to you for what happened Julius."

"Mhm. Don't sweat it, once we get her side of the story all will become clear. Julius says, patting MHXA's head. She nuzzles into her scarf.

"If you have things, we'll be headed out. Keep in touch yeah? Let's go MHXA."

"Yeah yeah." Adam says.

"Master. Let's get Sunbucks on the way home." MHXA says as the two leave, picking up Drake.

"Well if you got this... I'll be headed home. Let's go Heracles." Shou says.

The hulking servant gets up and rests Artoria Alter in front of Adam gently before picking up Shou and cradling him.

"It's always something with you three!" Mr. Milkson, the Unisberg Police chief, is briskly coming over to Adam who is examining his new responsibility with Valkyrie.

"Sorry sir. We didn't know something like this would happen, but I'll be looking after her."

"Oh ho ho. When have I heard that before, we'll be having a chat about this later. For now help us clean this mess up! Luckily no one died." Mr. Milkson strides off directing people where to go.

"Good grief." Adam says looking at all the mess, his servants approaching him, relieved of their duty via the police.
