"RICHMOND HIGH SCHOOL"
This was my first day of senior year. I looked at the large white letters on the building which contrasted with the dark brown paint job.I was a little early but I wanted to remember this day. This was the first day of my last year of high school.
I ran up the steps which wasn't that tiring. I had been an athlete all my life. From being in little league to captain of my school basketball team, I had done it all.
I knew my way around the school like the back of my hand. There was at least 200 classrooms at my school. We had about 3,000 student at my school, it was pretty large. But living in one of the biggest states, Texas, I was used to such large things.
Once I reached my first class I noticed my good friend Tyler standing next to another random guy. "Sup bro." He said while giving me a high five. "Over summer I got with like 5 girls!" He said. I nodded and smiled. "So what about you? I saw how Melissa looked at you during the Fourth of July party. Did you, you know?" He asked smirking. "Uh, no, um I had so much drinks and could barely stay awake." I laughed trying to cover up my awkwardness. Before he could call me out on my lie the bell rung and he waved goodbye. "That was close." I said to myself. Truth was, I've never even tasted alcohol. I was a virgin. A lot of people didn't know but, I was a Christian. I was saving myself for marriage.
Once inside of the classroom I sat in the third row of seats. Close to the front but still far enough from the teacher so I could easily socialize without being caught. The room filled with more and more people, all of them I had met before. "Hey Jamie!" I said to one of my teammates from basketball. "Sup Joe." My childhood friend Kailey said.
This year is going to be great. I was finally at the top of the "food chain," I was the oldest in the school. Freshmen were scared of me, and I was so close to leaving high school.
Mrs.Alvarez walked in wearing her usual t-shirt and capris. She was the most casual teacher I ever had. She always came to class happy and was very friendly. "Hey guys, welcome to senior year!" She yelled. The whole class erupted in clapping and cheering. "Woo Woo Woo!" A couple of guys chanted. She waited for everyone to get their excitement out before she continued talking. "I had you all last year or before that so luckily I don't need to learn names, YEEHAW!" She laughed. The classroom stayed silent as she caught her breath. "Old people's jokes still aren't funny? Okay don't laugh then." She joked. The class chuckled at one of her many jokes. "I'm going to call attendance, and yeah, you guys know the drill." She said.

And Lily Vernon." Mrs.Alvarez called. Everyone shouted 'here! except one girl. "Kristen Sweet?" Mrs.Alvarez called again. "Sorry, here!" She said. Her voice was soft and angelic. I looked to see who it was, I had never met a girl with that name before. She had caramel hair the was naturally curly that fell below her bust. It was shiny and thick. Her hair wasn't like the other girls. It was voluminous and interesting. I wondered what her face looked like?
Mrs.Alvarez then started talking again which interrupted my train of thought. "Students it looks like we have a new face!" She exclaimed. "Kristen why don't you come up and introduce yourself." She smiled. Kristen slowly and hesitantly got up from her chair and then wrapped a sweater around her waist. Once in front of the class I could get a clear view of her face. It was framed by her caramel curls and was round. Her eyes were a dark brown, but still seemed very different even though most people had that eye color. Her skin was a gorgeous medium brown. I had never dated a black girl but she could be the first of many if they all looked like her. One of her lips were fuchsia while the other was medium pink. Wow she was beautiful.
