"Are you going to eat anything?" I ask, looking at Kristen. She looks down at her food and then back at me before shaking her head.
"Why not?" I ask.
"I don't have the appetite." She murmurs.
I couldn't blame her.
Today has been a very long day.
From the ride to the camp, to Kristen's fight with April, to Luke's arrival.
A lot has been going on, and I would be an idiot if I didn't think that it would take a toll on her.
She's been through so much these past weeks, and I was hoping that this trip would be a little getaway from it all.
But of course not.
So, we sit here in the lunch hall, on the opposite side of a picnic table from Holt, April, and you guessed it, Luke.
The food they are serving isn't the most appealing. Sloppy Joe and applesauce isn't exactly the meal I was expecting.
But, I was starving, so I of course dig in.
I watch as Kristen opens her applesauce and takes small spoonfuls of it.
"Kristen, why aren't you eating?" Luke asks. He was sitting directly in front of her.
"I'm not really in the mood for Sloppy Joe." She replies.
He then looks around us, before reaching into his back pack and pulling out a brown paper bag.
"What are you in the mood for?" He questions with a smile on his face.
Luke having a crush on my girlfriend is usually annoying af and pisses me off, but him feeding her will never bother me. Whatever makes her happy is the most important thing on my mind.
"Surprise me." She says, color returning to her cheeks.
He looks into his back pack and pulls out two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in ziplock bags.
"Your favorite." He says with a smirk on his face.
She timidly takes them from his hand and placed them in front of her.
"Thank you." She says.
"You're very welcome." He smiles.
I should punch him in the face. Who does he think he is?
But for once, he actually did something nice without alternative intention.
Luke looks at me and raises his eyebrows when I mouth "thank you."
He was just as surprised as me that I didn't hurt him.

"Alright, so, the first activity we are doing today is rowing. Y'all are going to get into your groups, the same as you cabin groups, and enter the boat." Adam, our instructor says.
