My mom had arrived about an hour ago. It was 7:30am and I had to leave for school soon. She was dead tired when she walked through the door and fell asleep on the couch.I slipped on a pretty skimpy outfit. Today the humidity was thick, I could practically feel the water in the air. But nothing a try Floridian couldn't handle. I put on a crop top and shorts. The pink crop top clung to my body and dipped low showing off cleavage. The shorts made my legs look good and I decided to leave this outfit on.
To try and make my outfit more modest I slip on a white sweatshirt that covers me up. There, I looked 10x better already. With a quick dab of red lipgloss I'm out the door.
"Bye mom!" I say while giving her a peck on the forehead. Her sleepy eyes flutter in response. Wow she really was exhausted.
When I walk outside I notice Joey has opted for less clothing. His thin white t-shirt and navy blue shorts hang on his body. I smile at him and he smiles back.
"Hey!" He says while grabbing my bag and walking to his car. I trail behind him. "Hi." I reply. He opens the door for me and I step inside. Joey turns the A/C to full blast, and puts his face closer to the vent.
"What are you doing?" I ask bewildered. If this is how people behaved when it was slightly humid imagine them in Florida. Maybe I could take Joey there one day.
"I'm hot, and it's humid." He says. His face is red and he waves his hand in front of his face to try and cool down.
"Joey this is child's play. If you want to see some real humidity come to Florida. You could drink the water in the air." I over exaggerate. He rolls his eyes at me and drives off to school.
**
(First period)
We sit in class talking. Me and Joey having a conversation about movies. We seem to have a lot in common, besides the fact that he likes the original spider man movies more than the newer ones."Exciting announcement class." Mrs.Alvarez says. The class hushes as we turn our attention to her. Joey's eyes dart ahead and so do mine.
"On Friday we will be having a car wash! Now this car wash will help to raise money for a local charity." She says. The class buzzes with chatter. But all I can think about is shirtless Joey. Is it bad that that's the first thing that comes to mind? Whatever.
"I would like you guys to work together to create posters." The teacher continues. I was excited for this, very. Imagine all day being in my swimsuit with Joey. I would easily be able to look at him. Friday was going to be fun.
After Mrs.Alvarez hands out poster board me and Joey begin to work. I take out a pencil, sharpie, and scrap sheet of paper. Joey gets out a pencil too.
"Okay so I have an idea." I say. He looks at me and nods to show he's listening. As I explain Joey, holds onto everyone of my words listening closely. "Okay so I think we should do a picture of a car that is shining and sparkling. Then we put car wash is big letters at the top, the time at the bottom." I say. He nods and I smile at him.
"I can write car wash." He says. His voice is smooth, sending tingles down my spine. Wow the affect he had on me was crazy. His large blue eyes blink at me waiting for my response. Those eyes could start a fire with their intensity. Don't even get me started on his messy hair or shy smile.
