A/N: Woahhhhhh, I'm the worst author ever😭😭. I'm soooo sorry guys! But, on a happier note, HAPPY 2017!!! And, WE HIT 25K!!!!!! WOWOWOW!! Que Loco! I've missed you guys sooooooo much. But, high school is nothing like high school musical. Ya girl has a lot of work to do. But, it's muchhhh better than crappy middle school. I have so much to say to you guys, but I'm a little discombobulated right now. It's 3:45 am on New Years Day and I'm kinda exhausted.  Sorry that it took so long, but I will try my hardest to get back on top of writing this book. I'm currently on winter break so I'm gonna try to start writing the next chapter soon. But, nothing is for sure. hence the TRY. Remember, my messages are always open. And also, if you guys want to follow me on instagram it's @kristenkookies 😊. Okay, I'll stop trying to self promo💀💀. The song for this chapter is "Locked Out of Heaven" by Bruno Mars. It will tell you when to play it! Also, for the first time in a hot minute this chapter is 3000+ words. I used to always strive to make my chapters at least 2,500, but recently I've been doing barely 2,000. Yeah, sorry about that😬. Okay, I'm gonna leave you alone so that you guys will hopefully enjoy the chapter. (Excuse any typos, I'll fix them later, I promise!)

All the love,
Kristen xx

"Hey." Joey says to me as he walks into the break room.

"Hey, how's your day going?" I ask.

"Good. But it's much better now that I get to see you." He smiles.

Since Carina jacked our schedules up as much as physically possible, we barely get to see each other.

But, these short moments that we do get to see each other are so great.

I see Joey reach into his pocket and pull out a couple dollars. I then see him stroll over to the vending machine.

"Joey, what are you doing?" I ask.

"Getting lunch." He says, pointing at the vending machine.

"No you're not! Where's the lunch I packed you?" I ask.

"Um, well.." He says.

"Any day now." I say sassily.

"There was this little boy, Frankie. He forgot his lunch in the car and his mom is all the way across town and so... I gave him my lunch." He says.

I want to yell at Joey, for giving his lunch away, knowing that he's probably starving.

But my heart swells at the fact that he's so good with kids. And how easily he sacrifices at his own benefit for kids.

I bit my lip to hide my smile.

"We'll split my lunch. Good thing I packed extra today."

Joey nods and walks over to where I am.

"That was really sweet of you." I say while unpacking my lunch.

"Sweet enough that I deserve a kiss?" He asks.

I roll my eyes.

"I guess." I say laughing.

Joey's hands grip my waist, and pull me into him.
