A/N: I had a little bit of writers block and I actually wrote this chapter twice. I didn't like how it was the first time, but I like this one A LOT better. Please help my last chapter receive 20+ views and this one also. Plus...April is played by Elizabeth Gilles! Love you soooo much! Enjoy the chapter :P

*Should I post the first draft of this chapter or no?

The next day

I wake up in the morning and feel that my throat is scratchy. My breathing is hindered by a stuffy nose, and my eyes are watery. I was sick.

When I get out of bed I feel my head pound. I ease back down into bed. "MOM!" I shout. She runs into the room with a scared look on her face. "What happened honey?!" She says. She was very over protective, but I liked it. "I'm sick, I don't think I can go to school." I say. She walks over to me with her eyes narrowed. Having doctors as parents meant that they knew when you tried to get out of school.

She feels my forehead and looks at my throat. "Your throat does look red, and you do feel quite warm. You can stay home, but you'll go tomorrow." She says. I nod and lay back down. "I have medicine for you, so stay here." She finishes.

After that she exists the room. Great, me and Joey wouldn't see each other today. I already missed him, but I had to stay home. I feel my eyes get heavy and I slowly drift to sleep.

"Alright class, partner up!" Ms.Ross says. I was in history, fifth period, all alone. Kristen had not come today, so I was sitting by myself wishing she was here.

At Ms.Ross's words student shuffle around but most just worked with who was already next to them. Since Kristen was with me like usual a couple of girls had made it their mission to sit with me. "Joey!" A girl calls out. I look to see that it was April. She was a very pretty girl who was on the cheerleading team. We had talked a couple times since we sometimes practiced at the same time.

She wasn't like the other girls who had a crush on me. They mostly liked me because of how I looked, not because of me. Yeah I worked out, but not to pick up girls. That was never that important to me, I've always been looking for the right one. Which I think I've found, Kristen.

"Hey." I mutter. "Do you want to work together?" She smiles. I nod slightly and she plows over to the empty seat next to me. "So how has your day been?" She smiles. I shrug my shoulders at stare up at the board. "I like your outfit. That shirt really does make your eyes pop. The navy color against your baby blue eyes is a great combination!" She rambles.

Wow, she was really getting into this. "Thanks, your too." I say slightly sarcastically. I didn't really care about her outfit, but it wasn't ugly. She was wearing a red v-neck and blue capris. She had a light purple jacket on which made for a pretty simple outfit. "So what do you want to start working on?" She says. "I'm not very creative, but I can write write whatever you want me to." I say. Truth was, I wasn't a good writer either. My handwriting wasn't that good and I was pretty slow, but I wouldn't admit that to her.

"Okie dokie, let's get this show on the rode!" She says before pulling out 50 sheets of paper. She then pulls out a ruler and a compass and protractor. "I like perfect lines, and a lot of details!" She smiles. I feel a smile form in my lips. Not because I cared about what she said, but because if Kristen were here she would have been so annoyed. Kristen didn't care about things being perfect, she saw it as a waste of time. I agreed.

"Why are you dating Kristen." She asks. I look over to her, and see her tracing lines on the blank sheet of paper. "Because I like her." I say. She rolls her eyes and bits her lip. "What?" I say, the word almost being spat. "Nothing. It's just that there are a lot of more prettier girls at this school so why her?" She says blatantly. "She's very gorgeous, she's the only girl I have an eye for. Leave her alone." I huff.
