Miyako stared at Kaneki completely dumbfounded. He just killed all those humans and now he wanted to fight her too? She couldn't wrap her head around it.

Before she could even speak, Kaneki began to run straight for her. Lashing one of his tentacles towards her stomach, Miyako quickly dodged the attack. She stood behind Kaneki now, and the boy slammed on his breaks.

He whipped his head around and narrowed his eyes.

"Damn you." He growled, swivelling back around the face her. Miyako's eyes flashed upwards, as she tried to look for a nearby railing. Finding one, she looked back at Kaneki and smirked.

"Bring it on, then." She toyed, positioning herself to dodge yet again. This time two tentacles lashed out, and Miyako dodged both with ease.

She quickly ran towards one of the building walls and jumped. Once her foot made contact, she pushed off and jumped over to the building wall opposite her- landed softly onto the beam.

She looked down at Kaneki, all emotion dropped her stare.
She heard Kaneki growl in frustration.

"Why can't you just stand still!" Kaneki asked her rehotorically. His kagune darted at Miyako once again, and she jumped up- allowing herself to back flip graciously.
Still in the air, she activated her kagune. A burning sensation ran through her shoulder blades as her skin was torn through.

Bursting open, her kagune stretched out full; and Miyako landed on the roof of the building. She looked from side to side at her piercing kagune, and frowned slightly.

"Why must you be so big?" She muttered to it.
Miyako's kagune was indeed large, and when outstretched 100%, Miyako herself looked almost insignificant. Her kagune represented that of a fallen angel, however instead of the soft, white angelic aura that came about such said wings- Miyako's were jagged and the colour of thick blood.

Sure, she still couldn't fly, but her kagune gave her the ability to jump further; and defy gravity for a while.

When she stood, her kagune draped behind her, the ends of each wing intertwined across the floor.

Watching, she waited as Kaneki's own kagune shot through the air and slammed back down onto the roof. He soon followed, his kagune holding his weight; and he stepped down softly.

Kaneki's eyes suddenly went wide as he stared at Miyako's kagune in astonishment. He quickly regained his composition and chuckled.

"Looks like this fight will be a lot more interesting than I thought." Miyako opened her mouth to speak, but quickly moved to avoid Kaneki's attack.

"Can we-" Another attack; a quick dodge.
"List-" Miyako could feel herself beginning to get frustrated by Kaneki's lack of motivation to let her speak. She jumped back, only receiving another attack and a growl from the stubborn boy.

"Let m-" Miyako was too slow, and Kaneki sent a crushing blow to her chest. She gasped out, flying backwards. Suddenly she made contact with the floor harshly, and rolled back.

"You're not even giving me a fight here!" Kaneki screamed at her. Miyako balled her hand into a fist and clenched her jaw. She sat up slowly and spat out the blood from her mouth.

"I'm not here to give you a fight." She shot back, looking at Kaneki in disgust. This kid was supposed to be weak; what a joke. "Now listen."

Kaneki laughed, and turned his back towards her. He rubbed the back of his head and shrugged.

"Why would I do that?" Miyako got up slowly, and took a couple of shaky steps forward. If she was going to do this she needed to be quiet.

"What do you want with me?" She asked, positioning herself. Kaneki breathed heavily underneath his mask.

"Ah, now we're getting some-" He turned around and paused. Miyako had suddenly vanished from his sight. He felt a warm breath tickle his ear, before a vicious gurgle of blood rose up in his throat.

He looked down and saw the end of a jagged wing ripped through his stomach. Eyes wide, he gripped onto it, and let the blood cover his hands.

"That was a little harsh." Kaneki repeated Miyako's previous sentence with strain, and Miyako smirked in response. Just as she was about to speak, a familiar aroma filled her lungs.

"Damn it." She spat, her kagune still inside Kaneki. Pushing him away, Kaneki stumbled forward and collapsed onto the roof.

Her kagune quickly settled, and the RC cells quieted down. She stretched her shoulders back, and kicked Kaneki lightly.

He groaned out, spluttering blood everywhere.

"Get up. We have to leave." As much as she wanted to, she couldn't leave him up here by himself. She kicked him a little harder. "Let's go."

"You expect me to just get up after you brutally attacked my insides?" Kaneki sarcastically asked. Miyako rolled her eyes and bent down. Who even was this kid?

The smell was getting stronger.

"At least sit up so I can help you." After a dramatic sit up on Kaneki's behalf, he and Miyako were now at the roof's door. Miyako kicked it open, sending the door flying down the stairs. She cringed at the noise it made, and scolded herself for being too loud.

***********

Halfway down, Kaneki spoke.

"Can't you just use your kagune and fly us away? Why are we even moving anyway?" Miyako clenched her jaw, and pushed her rising frustration back down.

"What are you, five? Ukaku kagunes don't work like that." Miyako could tell Kaneki was slowly beginning to regain his strength; but he would need to feed. She ripped him up pretty badly. She adjusted Kaneki's weight and breathed out.

"Couldn't you smell it?" She asked. She knew all too well that sweet, sensual aroma that she smelt before. Juuzou Suzuya.

"All I smelt was my own blood, and a slight tinge of something amazing."

"Yeah, well that 'amazing' smell is from a Ghoul Investigator."

She was glad Juuzou had moved on just as quickly as he had arrived, but she also knew he wasn't alone. Considering he was on patrol, Miyako deemed it safe to stay inside the building; for her and Kaneki's sake.

"Really? You have a good sniffer." Kaneki joked, and Miyako rolled her eyes. They quickly found an exit sign and stepped out into a large, unfinished part of the building. The breeze hit their faces and Miyako felt Kaneki shiver.

She carefully placed him down, and looked out into the night.
"You need to eat. Stay here," She looked back at Kaneki. "I still need answers from you."

Kaneki saluted her in response, and Miyako jumped out of the building. Landing on a beam, she scouted out in front of her.

The breeze picked up again, throwing her hair around her face. She closed her eyes and breathed it all in.

The streets around her were quiet and she chewed on her lip; waiting like an eagle in the dark. A figure caught her eye, and her eyes washed over black and red.

She glided down to the floor, and began her stalk. Miyako wasn't all too familiar with this side of the city, so she continued to follow the young girl- waiting for the right moment to strike.

The girl turned a corner, and Miyako quickened her step lightly. A sudden wave of overpower meant smacked her in the face and she sneezed; stopping dead in her tracks. A bubbly voice spoke from behind her and Miyako's eyes faded back to green.

Oh, no.

"Sumisu?"
