A couple of days had passed since Miyako had seen Juuzou. She couldn't blame him; it's not like they even had any way to contact each other.
In a way, Miyako was relieved that his face hadn't been seen by her eyes- she wasn't prepared for the awkward meet up after they had kissed.
Despite Miyako not seeing Juuzou, Juuzou had seen her; several times throughout those days.
On more than one occasion he wanted to greet her, but he himself didn't want an awkward conversation.Instead he tried to focus on catching his new case; Shadow Eagle. He wasn't having any luck, seeing as Miyako had been spending her nights with Kaneki.
She had gained a fondness over the boy, and was helping him how to stay low; out of sight of the CCG.
Although Kaneki didn't agree with the fowl humans Miyako feasted on, he understood her reasons. However, despite her efforts to keep Juuzou away from her thoughts Miyako was having no luck. All she could think about were his bold eyes, his precious features; his troubled lips.
There was something underneath the sweet sensation of their embrace, as if under everything Juuzou showed; he was hiding all too much trauma. When he kissed her, Juuzou yearned for more than just a quick contact.
"Are you okay?" A mumbled voice spoke, bringing Miyako out of her thoughts. She blinked a couple of times and looked to the side.
Kaneki was looking at her from where he sat, a small smirk pressed to his lips- yet his eyes glistened with concern.
"You've been staring at the wall for the past ten minutes." Miyako furrowed her eyebrows in response.
"Have I?" Kaneki nodded, and placed his head against the wall. He sighed out before tapping his feet.
"I've basically been talking to myself for a while now as well."
Miyako slumped back and dropped her head. She quickly ran her fingers through her hair and looked back up at Kaneki.
"Sorry, I was just thinking." About Juuzou. The boy looked down at his on hands and bit his lip.
"So have I." He spoke, barely a whisper. Miyako strained to just hear those three words escape Kaneki's lips.
"What about?" Kaneki's eyes fell upon Miyako then, and he pulled a faint smile. He silently stood up and moved his way over to the door.
"Stuff." He quickly opened the door and breathed out. Miyako looked at him weirdly.
"Care to elaborate?" Kaneki turned to face her, and smiled softly.
"Just stuff." He spoke, before clenching his jaw. "I'm going to go eat, I'll be back."
Miyako watched as the door closed quietly behind Kaneki, and she huffed out. She hung her head again, her short blonde hair falling around her face.
She herself was beginning to feel hungry, and she closed her eyes. Silence intertwined with her presence as Miyako straightened her back.
A slight pain spread throughout her spine as she exhaled out in exhaustion. She wasn't looking after her posture as well as she used to, and it was beginning to come back to haunt her.
Opening her eyes, Miyako stood up and walked out of the old apartment. The warm air hit her suddenly, and she pulled a face of disgust. She preferred the cold at night, and this warmth was like a sticky breath trickling down her neck.
She shivered in response, and paced forward.Tonight was more quiet than usual, and Miyako had wondered where Kaneki disappeared to. He only left shortly before her, yet she couldn't see his small frame appear into her view as she traced the dark streets.
