The night quickly fell upon Miyako's silhouette, and she breathed out in relief. She always preferred the night- despite being a ghoul.

She loved stealing glances at the moon, shining above her. Although unable to soar through the sky, she had an Ukaku kagune; which gave her a desire to fly.

Shining feather is what Ukaku meant, and Miyako's kagune was just that.
She always found it a nuisance though; bringing it out to fight other ghouls. Miyako tried as much as she could to keep her Rc cells untouched, relying on her swift agility and speed.

However, the night had other plans for Miyako.

Looking up at the moon in awe, Miyako swung her legs childishly over the railing. She slumped forward, and let go of the railing. Closing her eyes, Miyako smiled softly to herself.

She could feel the wind pick up speed as she did herself, and she slowly opened her eyes. Right before she was about the make contact, Miyako adjusted herself mid- air- landed swiftly with her feet on the floor.

She straightened herself up and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. Looking back up at the moon once more, she smiled brightly with her piercing emerald eyes.

"Let's see what the night has in store for me." She muttered lightly. Tracing through a dimly lit alley way, Miyako softly hummed to herself. Without looking, she stepped into a small puddle, causing her to shiver.

"You have got to be kidding.." Miyako groaned, taking her foot out and pouting. She wiggled her toes, feeling the water soak into her shoe.

"Of all the-" A feint aroma smacked Miyako in the face and she quickly fell silent. Crouching low, she shuffled back further into the alley; being shadowed by the darkness.

She could tell from the scent that it was human, and from the rancid aftermath it wasn't a good one. More smells filled her nose as she tried to gag back the overpower meant of them all. Miyako knew it wasn't just one human; but four.

"You reckon we'll score big tonight?" One of them bellowed.

"Considering last weeks efforts we should!" Another voice growled. Miyako scrunched up her nose and fought a cough back. She slowly took another step back, and froze in horror as a loud metallic crash came from behind her. Turning her head, she saw she had knocked over a large piece of scrap metal.

"Damn it." She spat.

"Hey! Who's down here?" One of the men called out. Shutting her eyes in disappointment, she breathed out through her nose.

"If you don't come out, we'll come in!" The same voice added. Miyako frowned, and began to storm towards them.

"This is not how I wanted my night to turn out." She quickly regained herself, and stopped just before the light returned to the floor. Putting on a look of innocence, she took a step into the light.

"A girl." One of the men whispered in surprise. Miyako was right about how many there were; and they weren't small either.

"Please," Miyako acted, putting on a look of hope. "I'm just lost." She quickly brought her arms over her chest and hugged herself.

"How... Unfortunate." The first man spat- his voice dripping with bad intention. It made Miyako sick.

"I- I don't want any trouble." Miyako squeaked. She loved tricking her opponents into thinking she was weak. It was thrilling and made her blood run fast.

The man took a step forward, a devious smirk spread over his hard features. Nodding back to the others, they did the same.

"Isn't that a shame?" He growled, and Miyako took a step back in the darkness. "Cause you're sure as hell gonna get it."

Miyako smirked boldly.

"Bring it." She whispered. Just as she was about to activate her kagune, a bloody mutter filled the air. Looking out past the first man, Miyako saw another being pierced in the stomach by a striking red kagune.

Her eyes went wide as she watched the blood pour out of the now limp body, just in time to see the exact same thing happen with the other two men.

"What the-" The last human was cut off by a blood curdling sound, and Miyako cried out in disgust as he spat blood all over her face. The tentacle like kagune, still attached inside, threw the man against the wall. It quickly whipped off the blood, and retreated back to its owner.

Miyako spat out the blood of the man, and wiped her mouth with the back of her sleeve.

"Well that was a tad brutal." She retorted, looking up at the ghoul. Their face was covered by their face mask- only showing one of their ghoul eyes. Miyako knew straight away it was a boy, and judging by his mask- the one eyed ghoul.

The white haired boy cracked his index finger, his eyes never leaving Miyako. Reaching up, he pulled off his mask; revealing his true identity.

He was very slim in his features, but the way he held himself almost had Miyako at a loss of breath. She noticed his eyes lived up to its rumours- one being a fogged grey and the other, red.

"So, you're the one everybody is talking about, huh?" Miyako looked the boy up and down and clicked her tongue. "I'll buy it."

"Kaneki." The boy replied dully and Miyako nodded. "And you?"

"Does it matter?" She asked coldly. Kaneki clenched his jaw, and flicked his hair away with his hand.

"I was only asking." He cracked his finger again and sighed out. "I was wondering if you could help me with something."

Miyako's eyes widened with curiosity, and she stepped forward.

"What kind of 'something'?"
"I'm looking for a ghoul that goes by the name Shadow Eagle." Miyako stopped, and chewed on the inside of her lip.

"Why?" Kaneki looked at Miyako, and cocked his head.

"Why do you need to know?" Miyako shrugged.
"It's a little rude to ask a favour of somebody without telling them why first."

Kaneki's eyes went wide, and then he quickly furrowed his eyebrows.

"I'll buy it." He mimicked. His intrigued look suddenly turned into a devilish smile. "Time for some fun."

Miyako shot him a confused look.

"I'm not following."
"If you're the Shadow Eagle, then your kagune proceeds you. So." Kaneki paused, and leant over.

Suddenly the sound of ripping skin flooded Miyako's ears as she watched his Rinkaku kagune burst out from his lower back. Four large moving tentacles whipped through the air around him, and Miyako watched them suddenly harden. Kaneki grinned.

"How about you show me those wondrous wings of yours, eh?"
