Margaret's POV

"Wedding..."

Speechless. That's what I feel right now. I never expected a proposal like this.

I look into his eyes again, and judging from his reaction, he is serious.

He. Is. Serious.
Oh my gosh!

"Aren't we--"

"Fast? No. I don't think so. I've waited long enough."

When I did not respond, he sighed and grasps both of my hands. He looked into my eyes.

"As I have told you before, I don't play games and I am not waiting any longer. When your wounds heals completely. We will be wed under the Elysian Law."

There's a finality in his words. He is leaving me with no choice. I don't know how should I feel about this.

I really like Craig. I am in love with him. Shouldn't I feel happy with this proposal? Bakit parang naiinis ako? Am I expecting more?

Then, what am I expecting? A grand proposal? Not exactly grand, a proper proposal maybe? But looking at Craig, I can tell that he is not the type of a man that cares about sweet gestures. It's either this or that. End of story.

Sighing in defeat. Maybe I should be happy with this.

"With the war against the Shadows, I don't think it's the right time to get married. We have to strengthen our defence and gather more allies."

Craig smiled at me but something dark is in his eyes. It disappears as soon as it appears.
"The war is exactly the reason why we need to get married under the Elysian Law. The ceremony may come later after the victory. I just don't like the idea of you not belonging to me completely. We will win this war, Maggie. Trust me."

Craig's POV

When I mentioned the wedding as the bargaining chip against the information she wanted, I knew I talk too soon.

Pero ano pang magagawa ko. Ayaw ko ng bawiin ang mga sinabi ko. Doon din naman ang punta namin. I want all of her.

Sa nagaganap na digmaan ngayon, mas lalong nararapat na maganap ang nais ko. I need a heir. Hindi naman sa sinasabi kong mamamatay ako, inihahanda ko lamang ang kinabukasan ng Sol Trinitia. My heir will be the next king.

And Azaphiel is still missing.

I can tell that he is alive. As for the others, I am not sure. I also need to find them. I need to gather allies as well.

If Azaphiel is indeed no longer capable of claiming the throne, I need to be prepared. This war is just the start.

First, I need Maggie. I need to secure her place as my queen. The Court of Heavens did not tell me whom I shall marry. They only mentioned that the heir must be secured. In order to have an heir, I need to marry an immortal.

I have found the one I want. But, with or without the Court's consent, I will marry Maggie. I will make her mine.

Second, I need to find the other princes as well. The possibility that they have also lost their memories are high. And since I have awoken in this realm, there is a good chance that the rest of us were also here. I just need to find them soon.

Third, securing my heir. With the Shadows lurking around, Maggie is no longer safe. She will be the prime target. I need to protect her at all cost. And to ensure that the heir will be born, I need to work on it soon. That's why, marrying her as soon as possible is very important.
