Hi everyone!

I would like to discuss some things with you all that I feel is necessary.

Let's have a quick talk about kindness. I'm not sure if this is overreacting or not, I know I don't have it as bad as some bigger authors have, but this applies to all readers of any story out there. I have noticed a ton of hate and extremely disrespectful comments in the sections of not only my Wattpad stories, but others as well.

Only writers are fully aware how much time and dedication it takes to write these stories for people to enjoy. Although this platform isn't the exact same as writing and publishing a physical book with an actual company, it's still writing a book—as well as taking up as much energy, tears and time.

It's 100% okay if you do not enjoy every story you read. I go into writing new stories knowing that it will not fit everyone's preferred genre and ideal view of how a story should be, and that's okay. Everyone has different writing styles. You do not have to enjoy every story you read.

The place where it becomes a problem is leaving horrible remarks and disrespecting the author by calling their incredibly hard work impolite names.

I have received so so so many comments on this story calling it "cringe" or other horrible things. I was very very new to the Wattpad community when I first wrote this story, so new that I hadn't even read a fan fiction yet on this platform. I had absolutely no experience. And I shouldn't even have to disclose this information, everyone should just be automatically kind no matter if they enjoy the story and it's contents or not.

I know I'm possibly preaching to the wrong crowd, majority of the comments I get are absolutely wonderful and I appreciate you all so much— however, no matter how small and insignificant it may seem to you, your comments do matter and could make an extreme impact on the perspective of an author and their story.

We're all in this together, so let's be nicer to each other and work together to make this space comfortable and happy for everyone!
