"what do you need Jason?" I say clearly annoyed. "I need to explain stuff to you."
"Why do you choose now, to explain stuff to me?"
"I don't know Kayla, I wasn't ready.."
"What is it then Jason,"
"Well I didn't know it until a few weeks ago, I didn't even know I would ever be this way until I started dating you and I knew something didn't feel right."
"Just spit t out Jason..."
"I'm gay Kayla, I like boys not girls."
Oh my god. i defiantly did not see that coming.
"Um okay, but why where you hanging out with Alicia?"
"Because, she understood me." he said softly.
"Okay, did you think I was going to hate you because you're gay? It really hurt me deep when you didn't talk to me and I just assumed that you didn't like me anymore and Alicia got in your head or something!"
"Don't you get it Kayla.. I'm hurting. Im going to be in high school soon, how is being gay going to treat me then? I was the popular boy in this school. Now all of my friends hate me because I like boys. They're weirded out." Jason said worriedly.
"Hey Jason, maybe they are freaked out, trust me right now my mind is going in all directions. But high school is a whole different ball game. You can meet new people that will accept you for who you really are. Like me."
"But then again, I still love to play football and basketball and all of that. I love all of the same things, but the only difference is that I'm attracted to boys."
