Middle School Troubles

Chapter 34 Regret

Jason really caught me by surprise, who knew? it was so not obvious at all.

the last day of school is coming quickly. I don't want to leave, but I do at the same time? I just feel like it all went by way too fast.

"I cannot believe Jason came out! It was so sudden, it didn't even cross my mind as an idea why he wasn't speaking to anybody." Lea said.

"Well I just feel bad for Kayla." said Anna.

"It's not that bad, it was just awkward because I thought he liked me back the whole time." I said.

I didn't tell anyone except Lea and Anna. I knew that telling everybody would just make me as bad as Alicia. It's not like I want to tell anybody anyways.

"Okay so the last day of school is in 2 weeks, what do we do! I can't leave now, it's too soon!" said Lea.

"I was just thinking the same thing!" I said.

The bus ride home was boring, all I could think about was Jason. I feel bad for what he's going to have to face. Did he tell his parents? I went home and watched tv to try and get my mind off of everything.

"KAYLA!" I heard a familiar cheery voice say. I turned around and saw Lea. "What's up?"

"Do you want to do the talent show?!"

Ah the talent show. I thought about it for a while and I decided, why the heck not. I might as well make my last week a memorable one.

"Yes." I answered.

"Okay good, Anna is already at my house, lets go practice." Lea said.

And that's when I regretted agreeing to this.
