Chapter 22 He Asks Me Out

I'm currently sitting on the bus next to my very annoying best friends. The reason why they are being annoying is because they won't shut up about what Jason might say today.

"He has to ask you out!" Lea says excitingly. But I doubt it.

"This is your fault guys! Why did you have to talk to him! I'm getting a major head ache from all this thinking about what he's going to say!" I blurt.

They look hurt. "We were just trying to help Kayla." Anna says softly.

"Ugh I know I'm sorry guys I'm just getting stressed out about something stupid." I say.

"I understand." Lea chuckles.

We arrive at school and I get butterflies in my stomach. Like he just wants to talk to me why am I so scared. Maybe it's because I have major crush on him!

Duh.

I shouldn't worry anyways. I still have until the end of the day to think.

"Open to chapter 14 please."

I'm in language arts. HOW DID TIME FLY OMG!

Okay so it's the last hour of the day and I'm getting butterflies again!

The bell rings and I run to my locker and grab my things. Jason comes to my locker unexpectedly and says hey. I've tried to act normal around him during lunch and all the classes we have together, so he won't think I'm freaking out over nothing.

"So Kayla, umm..." He says nervously.

He doesn't know what to say or maybe he does but doesn't know how to say it.

"What's up Jason?" I say to help the conversation flow.

"So um, if I asked you out would you hate me.." He says.

I'm literally screaming inside. HES GOING TO ASK ME OUT!!!!!

"Um no I guess not, are you asking me out?" I say kind of nervously.

"Yes I am. Kayla do you want to go out with me?" He says more boldly.

"Yes Jason!" We hug and I'm still screaming inside.
