Chapter 18 The Talk With Jason
The next day we go back to school, unfortunately.
On the bus, Lea, Anna, and I discuss the conversation between Jason and I. I take my phone out and show them the texts.
They make a huge deal about it. Like seriously take a freaking chill pill. "You guys should go out!" Anna said.
"Three reasons why it's a TERRIBLE idea. One, what if he doesn't want to. Two, Alicia will probably try and break it up. And three, I don't even know if my mom is going to let me date! I'm 12!" I explained.
"Oh come on! He has a crush on you!" Lea urged.
"Whatever.."
Today in PE we played volleyball. We learned how to serve, and spike.
Ms. Jeffries gave us partners. She put Jason and I together. Will it be awkward, maybe. We pass the volleyball back and forth.
"Remember what I texted you yesterday?" He said. "I'm here now!" I chuckle nervously. "Yeah." "Did you really miss me?" I ask. "Not in a weird way." he chuckles. "It sounded pretty weird!" I teased. His face turns a light shade of pink. "Oh well I didn't mean it in a weird way!"
"Okay, okay!" I laugh. Wait, we're having a full conversation together!
Leas POV
At the end of the day, Anna and I walk up to Jason and question him.
We planned out everything we were going to ask because we really do think Jason and Kayla should be together.
"Hey Jason!" I said. "Hi." he replied. "So uh you have a crush on Kayla!" Anna said like it was nothing. "WHAT! um no wait yes how did you know?" He nervously said. "Please were Kayla's best friends, we know all!" I said.
"Oh." He replied. "Are you going to ask her out or something because we're getting tired of this." Anna said. "I might just.
" He said as he closes his locker.
