chapter 17

Phase two has begun. The battle of Beacon has begun.  

Y/n's syndicate plays a very crucial role to the disarray. 

Y/n's men preemptively deploy troops to defend any store that is under Y/n's protection.   After the AK units are hacked, Y/n's syndicate will mop up the mess and take the credit for "saving" Vale.

The Grimm begin their attack, and soon after the AK units are hacked.

Y/n's men wait for the chaos to ensue. Then they get into trucks and drive out into the streets.  

Y/n's men get out of their trucks and begin opening fire on the AK units.

Titus joins the frontline.

Titus: Forward! The less damage to the city the better!

The other gang leaders form their own frontlines.  They converge in the city center and keep pushing.

Meanwhile in Beacon.  Adam has two of Y/n's men with him. 

Adam: Secure the area.

Thug: Yes sir.

Blake appeared in front of them.

Blake: Adam!  

Adam: There you are, Blake.

Blake charged for Adam, only to be taken down swiftly.

Blake hits the floor hard. 

The thugs approach her and aim their weapons at her.

Adam slices both of their heads off in one swing.   Their dead bodies hit the floor. Blake looks at Adam with horror.

Adam: The only one allowed to do anything to you, is me!

Adam plunges his blade into Blake's stomach.  

Yang appears and attempts to defeat Adam, but loses an arm instead. 

Adam gets distracted by a Grimm. This gives Blake enough time to get her and Yang out of there.

Dex watched the events unfold from  behind a nearby wall.

Dex shakes her head.

Dex: Master Y/n won't be happy to hear this.

Dex walks away.

The fighting in the city continues.  The L/n syndicate is decimating. 

A huge flash comes from Beacon.  Y/n goes to investigate personally.

He finds a defeated Cinder on the ground, barely alive.

Y/n approaches her. He gets on his coms.

Y/n: *on earpiece* Get me a chopper with a gurney. 

Y/n looks at Cinder, she looks up at him.

Y/n: Normally I'd say something smart. But I don't think it matters. You did your job.  

The chopper arrives and picks them both up.  

The plan went off without a hitch. But it would be some time until everyone is ready to go again. 

The L/n syndicate  reconvened once the fighting ended. 

Y/n: Good work everyone. Vale will remember us, as it's protectors.  We have shown the world that we are superior to Atlas.  But it isn't over yet.  What we have done is merely the first stage.  We have a long road to go.   

Bo: What's next then?

Y/n: Damage control, our fall maiden is out of action. In the meantime, I want the silver eyed warrior FOUND!  She poses a significant threat to this organization.  

Everyone: Yes boss. 

Y/n: dismissed.

The gang leaders got up and left.

Dex walked into the room and next to Y/n.

Dex: I have news, master.

Y/n: What is it?

Dex: Adam killed two of our men?

Y/n: Self defense?

Dex: No. I believe it was, more of an impulse. 

Y/n: I see. Shame, I was thinking of giving him rank among my organization.  Now he'll be nothing more than a puppet.

Dex: I see.

Y/n: We'll pretend that we don't know anything.  I want to build him up. THEN TEAR HIM DOWN.   But I have a mission for you.

Dex: Whatever you require.

Y/n: I need you and the others to capture, Coco Adel and Velvet Scarlatina.  Take them to site T afterwards.  Kill their teammates. 

Dex: Any specific reason?

Y/n: According to Emerald's report, their the only ones worth going after.  

Dex: As you wish.

Dex left the room.

Y/n sat there and pulled out a chess piece.

Y/n: Your move, Ozpin.
