I slowly start to stir. My bed was empty. My lips slowly turn downward. I knew Nishiki was working today, But usually the kids would've woke me up by now. My feet rush out of bed towards my closet. I quickly pick out something to wear for the day.

My feet carry me out of the room. I glance looking around not seeing anyone. I slowly head out towards the actual café. Something shattering causes me to race towards the door. I open the door before looking into the café. My fears are put to ease seeing that it was just some plates shattering.

"What the hell is the matter with you? You're useless woman," Nishiki says looking down at Touka who was kneeling to pick up the broken pieces.

"Excuse me!" Touka glances at him before jumping back up to her feet. "You better shut your mouth before I shove it full of glass, you misogynist pig!" She argues back with the other ghoul.

"Oh, yeah?" He questions, standing in a defensive frame. "You would try that 'cause you don't know where the trash can is!" He exclaims towards the younger female. "Ha! I've been here too long to bus tables," Nishiki adds.

"Well, that's the least you could do, you dick! Because you suck so hard at everything else! So screw you and your lazy ass! Do us both a favor and quit," Touka says, completely outraged with Nishiki's antics.

"You'd love that, wouldn't you? You know what--" Nishiki says before I drown him out as Kou comes over towards me. So Nishiki must have brought the kids out of here so they would let me sleep. He's so thoughtful and kind. Why can't Nishiki show this side to others? I really love that side of him.

Enji finally gets the two to silence by talking about this Devil Ape person. From the tone in his voice, and mostly my gut instincts, it was about him. Please let this stop the feuding between Touka and Nishi. Sadly, it doesn't.

"I'm not lazy!" Nishiki exclaims, going back to their bickering.

"Oh, hell, yeah, you are!" Touka retorts back.

"Okay, that's enough you two," I snap towards them as my hand brushes against Kou's hair. The two of them snap their attention towards me. Kaneki slowly moves toward clean up the shards so that no one would get hurt.

"Can you two stop?" I say, a sharp tongue tying back around. They look at me before I look down at Kou. I slowly squat down towards his height. "Hey, what's wrong Kou?" I ask him.

Kou shakes his head slightly at that. I look at him. "Hey, you can tell me," I say as I lightly brush through his hair for a moment.

"I don't like people fighting," he whispers. I slowly nod my head slightly at that. I wasn't going to lie to him and say that they weren't, that wasn't right to him. I seen his eyes wanting to tear up. I slowly move my hands to brush them away.

"Hey, it's over now," I tell him. I glare over at Touka and Nishiki. Why would they make this precious little boy cry? Nishiki slowly walks over before squatting to our height as well.
