With the lack of sleep the night before, it made for an exhausting day. One that I wasn't really looking forward to. Honestly, I just wanted to go crawl back into bed and cuddling with something that smelt like Nishiki....but if I had my way I'd be cuddle right up with my mate, no exceptions.
I slowly pull myself from the comforts of the little bedroom. I make my way towards a different room, checking on the kids. All three of them were fast asleep. They all seem relax. I couldn't ask for much more for them. I quietly close their door, not wanting to wake them. My feet carry met towards the living room and kitchen.
I make some coffee before taking a seat on the couch. The rustling in the wind seems to soothe the little anxiety that's still lingering from Aogiri. Everything that happens there plays back in my head. From the moment that I was in a haze with the two ghouls to having to carry Touka out of the building with Nishiki.
My door opens, snatching my attention to the culprit. The culprit only being Nishiki, trying to sneak back inside. "What are you doing out this early?" I ask looking over at Nishiki. His head snaps up to see me sitting on the couch.
"I could ask you the same thing," Nishiki retorts. I shrug my shoulder slightly before turning my attention to look out the window.
"I couldn't sleep," I manage to mumble out, but it didn't go unnoticed.
"Me too," Nishiki's voices. Soon I feel the couch dip beside me. I turn my attention to look and see Nishiki sitting there beside me, before stealing my coffee from me. I pout looking up at him which I receive a chuckle in return.
My body slowly moves to lean into Nishiki's side. Nishiki's arm slowly starts wrapping around me. I do love the warmth and safety that I get from him. Suddenly, I felt his hand press against my arm, causing me to hiss.
My feet move to stand. Now there was this burning pain shooting through my arm. Then it hit me. That's the arm that has the scar that I seen.
My eyes look over at Nishiki. Nishiki's eyes were wide. He quickly sets the coffee cup down on the table before getting up and walking over towards me. "What happen?"
I shake my head slightly. "N-nothing Nishi," I mutter out. Something was wrong, hell you could hear it in my voice, it trembled. It fucking trembled.
"Something is wrong," Nishiki says a darker demeanor finding it's way on to his face. My head quickly shakes as I quickly back up.
Nishiki quickly rushes as he pins me against the wall. It was gentle, but a demanding tone settles. I glance up at him. He glances down at me. Those eyes, the soft, worry glint shows. "Tell me, what's wrong," Nishiki says looking at me.
I slowly shake my head before leaning into his chest. I couldn't tell him exactly what it was cause I don't know exactly what happened. His hand gently moves to pull up my sleeve, looking at the scar that was going all the way down towards my elbow.
It look like a tree branching out, or a main lightening strike. Then it seems to flower out. He slowly brushes his finger tips against it. I hiss out in pain. "Why didn't you tell me," he whispers.
"I don't know how it happened," I mutter. He nods his head slightly as he slowly rubs his hand over my back.
"At least let me see if anyone knows anything to help with this, okay?" Nishiki whispers. I slowly nod my head slightly at that. He gently kisses my forehead. "I'll be back, I promise," he whispers.
After that, I watch him leave again. Slowly I manage to pull my sleeve back down, covering the nasty scar. Feet padding down the hall is what catches my attention. I look and smile seeing Masaru.
