Derek was holding up Meredith as she slowly shuffles towards the exit

"Meredith!" They heard

"Don't stop. I can't stop now" She muttered as she kept moving forward

"Meredith!" They recognized Richard's voice

"Richard, Meredith doesn't feel very good" Derek quickly said and felt Meredith's body slowly leaning more on him

"Oh, I'm gonna keep it short! Meredith, congratulations. We knew you could do this" Richard smiled and grabbed her hand in his

She tried to pull away because it hurts like hell when he grabbed her hand but the pulling away made her lose her strength in her legs and she collapsed

"Mer" Derek gasped as he tried to keep her up but she groaned in pain by the sudden touch on her hips

Everyone looked at Meredith and gasped

"Mer?!" Alex gasped and ran towards them

"Lay her down" Derek instructed

"Der" Meredith croaked out

"You're okay sweetie" Derek said and kissed her forehead

"Meds, now" She begged

Derek nodded and prepared her shot before inserting it "It will be better soon" He whispered "Karev, can you go get her chair in my car?"

Alex nodded and ran off

"I'm sorry" Richard looked with sad eyes

"It's -kay" She faked a smile

Derek grabbed her hands and started to rub them

"Stop" She whispered as tears streamed down her face

Derek let go of her hand and gently placed them down on her stomach

"I'm here" Alex said as he ran towards them with Meredith's chair

It was specially made for her with cusions where she needed the most support so she could sit in it for several hours

Derek lifted her from the floor as she groaned in pain

Alex was making a face by that, Derek didn't pay attentions to the others in the room

"You okay now?" Derek asked as he placed her legs on the footrest

Meredith nodded as she looked down

"Hey, look at me" Derek cupped her face in his hands "I love you, sweetie"

"Love you too" She whispered "Can we go now?" She asked as she looked around her and saw everyone staring at her

Derek nodded and started pushing her out of the hospital

"It's okay" Derek whispered and kissed the top of her head

"I'll come help you" Alex offered and joined them

Derek lifted her into the car and buckled her in with the seatbelt

"Thanks" She whispered

"Of course" Derek said and kissed her head while Alex put the chair in the trunk of the car

"Bye guys!" Alex waved

"Bye" Meredith forced a smile

"Thanks Alex" Derek smiled and they drove off

During the ride, Derek was watching his beautiful wife "Almost home" He said and she nodded in response. She was staring out of the window as he drove to their house

Once they arrived home, Derek carried her inside without her protesting

"Wanna take a bath?" Derek asked and she nodded again

He went to the bathroom and started to fill the tub with hot water and he added some lavender oil for her. As he returned to the living room where she was laying in the same position he left her, he heard her sobbing

"Mer.." He sighed as he kneeled down in front of her

"I don't wanna do this, Derek. I don't wanna do this to you and the kids" She whispered

"Hey, we wanna do this for you" Derek told her

"I don't know if I can keep doing this" Meredith told him

"Yes, Mer. Yes you can.." He said to assure himself

"It hurts so much" She sobbed

"I know.. I wish I could do something, hell I would swich places. You don't deserve this" Derek said as he stood up "Can't you just take a break? Why is the universe so screwed up?!" He yelled the last part

"Der, don't do this to yourself. You know that we won't get an answer on that question" Meredith whispered

Derek nodded and scooped her up "Can I join?" He sheepily asked

"Of course" She laughed a bit

Derek placed her down in the tub and climbed in behind her. He held her close to his chest and shampood her hair

"Hmm" She groaned in pleasure

"Feels good?" He smirked

"So good" She closed her eyes

"Good" He whispered

They stayed in the tub until the temperature of the water started to become slightly cold and Meredith shivered

"Let's get out" Derek said and climbed out

Meredith desperately tried to push herself out and Derek's heart broke. "Wait, I got you" He smiled and lifted her before placing her on the edge of the tub and wrapping her in a warm towel

"Mom? Dad?" They heard Ellis' voice

"We're in the bathroom!" Derek telled back

"Go, check if she needs something" Meredith smiled as she looked at the floor

Derek quickly went out and Meredith tried to dry herself but her hands barely wanted to uncramp. She didn't realise that minutes had passed by and Derek entered the room again

"Let's go to our room. I'll put in a new catheter" Derek said and kissed her head

Derek carried her to their bedroom and gently placed her down and covered her upperbody with blankets as he cathet her

Meredith was still shivering and Derek hurried himself without hurting her or doing anything wrong. Once he finished, he covered her lower body too and went to get their daughter, he knew Meredith would love to see her

"Hi mom" Ellis smiled as she entered the room and went to lay down next to her mom

"Hi sweetie. How was school?" Meredith asked

"It was okay" Ellis smiled "There's this girl.." Ellis started to explain "I think I'm in love with her"

"What's her name?" Meredith's eyes light up

"Nena" Ellis smiled "She's beautiful"

"Wanna tell me about her?" Meredith asked

"Do any of you want a snack?" Derek peaked in

"Yes please" Ellis smiled as Derek left the room and Ellis continued the talk with her mom

When Derek returned, Ellis told both of her parents about the girl she fell in love with. The three of them were laughing and chatting away the whole time until Meredith fell asleep and Derek and Ellis joined her for a short nap
