Chapter 8

Hailey's POV
Emma's in the shower. Becca and Marley are on the couch. "Hey girls, has Emma been acting weird or is it just me?" I asked. The looked at me. "I thought it was just me but if you saw it than I guess yeah" Marley agreed. "Yes she has" Becca said. "What's wrong with her?" I asked. They shrugged. "She said she was stressed about work" Marley said. "That's what she told me" I said. "She told me that our final exams were scaring her" Becca said. "Final exams? Why would she be worried about that?" I asked. "We are sooo interviewing her when she gets out of the shower" Marley said and we nodded.

Emma's POV
I walked out of the bathroom. I was greeted with my girlfriends staring at me from the couch. "You're creepy" I noted. "Sit down Emmy" Hailey said. I got confused and sat down on the couch. "Tell us what's wrong" Becca said. "Nothings wrong" I claimed. They all looked at me like I'm stupid. "Seriously I'm fine, like you said, everything is fine" I said. They looked at each other and then at me. "Honey what's wrong?" Hailey asked. I gulped. They all got up and sat down on the floor in front of me. I got super nervous. "Emma?" Marley asked. I hopped over the back of the couch and bolted into my room.

I sat at my desk and cried. I don't wanna tell them. I heard the door open. I put my head in my hands. "Baby why are you crying?" Becca asked. They all stood around me. "I don't wanna go!" I said. "What?" They asked confused. I pointed at my computer. I pulled up the email that I got a while ago.

Dear Agent 346
We are happy to report to you that your service has been great these past few months and you have been selected to run your final exam to become a level 3. We hope you are exited. Please reply when you're ready for your assignment.

"Babe why is this bad? That's awesome!" Hailey said. "But I don't wanna leave you. I wanna stay here with you" I said. They went silent for a moment. If I pass than I'll be sent to sector 3 which means I'll be on level 3 and I wont live in these corridors anymore. I cant live without them. "Baby this is an amazing opportunity and you should take it. I don't want you to leave but this is gonna be good for you" Hailey said. "But I cant go without you" I said. "Well if they sent you that email then that means that they're making their way through the twos, so I'm sure we'll be right after you" Becca said. They all smiled weakly at me. "I love you all" I said. "We love you too" they said. They all kissed my cheek. I wiped my tears and typed a reply.

Dear Sargent Cooper

I will gladly take your offer. Sorry I was so late to reply. I cant wait for my assignment.

I did it. I took deep breaths. I cant believe I just did that. "You're gonna do great" Marley said. "Thanks" I said. I hope she's right.
