Chapter 11

Emma's POV
"This is an active training drill. Remember, everyone must reach the end and press the button. You may choose one set of weapons to help you. I wish you luck" Sargent said. "Good luck ponytail. You're gonna need it" Ray said. She's right. I'm smaller than all of them. I weigh nothing compared to them. We all walked over to the weapons dock. I knew that my girls were watching behind the glass. You can spectate people in training arenas from our suit cams. Sarah grabbed a gun. Skylar grabbed a bigger gun. Ray grabbed a grappling hook. I looked down at the weapons. I looked back at the course. "Hurry up ponytail. I have better things to do" Ray said. I grabbed a belt with daggers on it. Skylar laughed. "You're so stupid" she said. The buzzer went off and the course started. We all started running. First, there were smaller bars followed by bigger bars. The girls would jump over one and slide under the next. This is where my size comes in. I ran and slid under all the bars. Perks of being small. Ray was still next to me though. She's fast. Next there was low tunnels with mud under them. Ray ducked down and crawled through the mud. I planted my arms and feet on the sides and crawled through without touching the mud. Skylar and Sarah caught up. We had to climb up ropes. That was easy. Once we were at the top we looked down to see spider bots. I groaned. "What's wrong ponytail? Afraid of a few spiders?" Ray asked. Skylar and Sarah jumped down and started shooting the bots. Ray jumped down and was punching the bots. I however thought about the level 2 course. I smirked at the thought. I jumped down and landed on a bot. I jumped across the bots, landing at a wall. We had to climb it. I took out my daggers and sunk it into the wall. Step by step I went up. I heard a grunt. I looked down to see Ray climbing on her grappling hook wire. Skylar was actually climbing the wall. Sarah was still stuck behind us. We have to finish this as a team. They might not think so but we have to. I jumped down and ran into the bots. I picked up Sarah and ran. I threw her at the wall and she gripped onto the edge at the top. I continued to climb the wall. Ray got up first and pressed the button, then Skylar, then Sarah, and then me. Skylar and Ray laughed. "Wow, slowest time ever" Skylar said. I rolled my eyes. The Sargent came on the speakers. "Very good, Sarah you passed, Skylar you passed, Ray you passed, Emma you won" she said. I got confused. "What?" I asked. "This isn't your team but none the less you went back to save one of them when they needed you. You're the winner today Emma" Sargent said. I smiled. Skylar and Sarah clapped. Ray did a slow sarcastic clap.

After I changed I walked to the spectator booth. I closed the door and I jumped on Marley. "You did great babe" Marley said. "Thanks!" I said. "We saw what you did with the spiders" Hailey said. I laughed nervously. "It worked so I guess it wasnt that bad" Hailey said. "Yeah, I'm just glad that this is my last training thing before Christmas break" I said. "Oh yeah! What are we doing this year?" Marley asked. "We'll figure it out later. Right now I have to go train for an exam" Becca said. "Have fun" I said. She rolled her eyes. I giggled. "I love you" I said. "Uh huh" she said sarcastically, and she walked out.
