Chapter 12

Marley's POV
I love holidays. Especially Christmas. I like Halloween too. "Babe do you have my jacket?" Becca asked. I looked around my room. "No, maybe Hailey has it" I said. "I do! And I'm not giving it back!" Hailey yelled from her room. We each packed a bag and went out. We wore our clothes that don't have badges on them because then no one can recognize us. We get a two week vacation for Christmas. Its awesome. Last year we went skiing in Alaska. We went to capsule 43 and put our things in the trunk of the car. "Damn babe, you picked the BMW?" Hailey asked. "Sargent said I could pick whatever I wanted" I shrugged. "So is Emma meeting us there?" Becca asked. "Yeah, she'll be a little late though because she's hiding from her roommates" I said. "When do we get a new roommate?" Hailey asked. "Sargent said that we have a new roommate but she hasn't finished her final exam so probably after vacation" I said. "You just have all the information don't you?" Becca asked. I shrugged. Emma ran into the capsule and shut the door. "Ok!" She said. "You good?" Becca asked. "I had to speed pack because Skylar is going insane right now. I told her not to smoke weed this early but she doesn't listen" Emma said. We laughed and got in the car. A ramp opened and we drove up into a field. From there we drove to a road and went on our way. Becca's driving. I'm in the passenger. Hailey and Emma are in the back.

We're on the road. "Wow, California really is beautiful" Hailey said. This car is a convertible and we have the top down. I turned around to look at Hailey. Hailey has her arm on the side of the door and Emma is leaning her head on Hailey's shoulder. I looked back over at Becca. She's wearing a baseball cap with sunglasses. She doesn't look too happy. "You ok Becca?" I asked. "I don't like sun. You know this" she said. "Oh" I laughed nervously. We went to a Café. 

We all sat down and ordered food. "So what are we doing for Christmas this year?" Hailey asked. Becca shrugged. "Well, I know that we don't really talk about them, but I wouldn't mind getting to meet your families" I suggested. They all stared at me in shock. Becca banged her head on the table. "Becca stop that" Hailey said. "I don't wanna see them!" Becca groaned. Hailey rolled her eyes. "That's a great idea. We have two weeks and four of us so maybe we can spend about two and a half days at each persons house." Emma said. "That still gives us a lot of time though" I said. "Well my family lives in Boston" Hailey said. "Oh! Ok, then yeah its about two and a half days" I said. "I'm down" Emma smiled. We all looked at Becca. She groaned. "Fine" she huffed. We smiled at her.

Becca's POV
"So whos house is closest?" Emma asked. "Unfortunately mine" I said. We all got in the car and started the trip.

After four hours we're here. "Hold up. This is the neighborhood that you lived in for your whole life?" Marley asked. I looked at her confused and nodded. "I lived here" she said. "You did?" I asked. She nodded. "We moved when the house got termites but yeah" she said. We walked up to the door and I knocked. A tall man with curly hair and glasses answered. He smiled. "Hey Becca. What are you doing home?" He asked gently. "Hi dad. I wanted you to meet my girlfriends" I said. "Oh ok, come in" he said. My dad is very gentle. At least that one is. I heard a loud bang from the garage. Another tall man with short black hair came out of the door and was literally smoking. He coughed smoke and was covered in dirt. "Hey dad" I said. "Oh hey Beck" he said. My dads are very different but I love them none the less. "Where are they?" I asked. "Probably out back" dad said coughing more smoke. "Girls, this is Mason and Kenny. My dads. Dads this is Emma, Hailey, and Marley" I said. They waved. Mason is the calm one and Kenny is the one covered in dust. "Nice to meet you" mason said. The sliding glass door opened and I heard three loud gasps. "Oh no" I panicked. "Becky!" They yelled. "Becky?" My girls asked. My three sisters ran up to me and tackled me. "You're home! You never come home!" Layla yelled. "Stop yelling" I groaned. "She's still stubborn I see" Ruby said. "Girls" Kenny said sternly. They all backed off. "Emma, Hailey, Marley, these are my sisters, Ruby, Layla, and Moxie" I said. "Who are they?" Moxie asked. "We're her girlfriends" Hailey said. "Cover your ears" I said. Ruby and Layla squealed. Ruby and Layla started talking to my girls. Moxie came over to me. "Its good to see you" she said. I nodded and we hugged. Moxie is the calmest out of the three. The other two are 99% pink glitter. Moxie wears normal clothes. "Are you ever gonna get out of black?" Moxie asked. I smirked. "No" I said. "Why don't you show your girlfriends your room" mason suggested. "Good call" I nodded. We walked down a hallway to my room.

It was pretty empty. I didn't leave anything behind because I didn't have much stuff. Its just a bed, a dresser, and a desk. "I see why you don't come here for holidays" Marley said. I huffed. "You have glitter on you" I said. She patted her shoulder and the glitter shook off. "You really wiped this place clean" Emma said looking around. "I didn't have much to take" I shrugged. "Can I open your blinds?" Hailey asked. I nodded. She opened them and the light shined through. Hailey coughed. "You should really dust in here" she coughed. I snickered. "Your dads seem nice" Emma said sitting down on the bed. "They are. So is Moxie. Its just the other two that I cant stand" I said. "Whelp, this is gonna be a long two days" Marley said. "Don't complain, it was your idea" I said. She rolled her eyes.

We're on the couch watching TV. Its day two. Sleeping in one bed with four people is strange. I love them but no. Moxie and Layla are at work. Kenny is in the garage doing something. Ruby is out back in the pool. Mason is at work. Ruby came in and got changed and then sat down on the couch. Emma is half asleep on me. Hailey and Marley are in each others arms. "So how does that work?" Ruby asked. I looked over at her confused. "Your relationship?" She asked. "We don't do everything together. We basically just take turns... sort of" I shrugged. "Ok" she said still looking confused. Hailey got up to grab her phone. Emma went to go use the bathroom. Marley scooted over to me and rested her head on my shoulder. I glanced at Ruby. She's staring at us confused. "Go look it up Ruby" I said. She looked away embarrassed. Marley chuckled.

Its day three and we're leaving. Emma's is five hours away and probably six with traffic. "Bye sis" Layla and ruby hugged me tightly. "Bye" I squeaked. They let go. "Bye" Moxie said. We high-fived and I smiled at her. "Bye dads" I said. "Bye Becca" they said. We walked out. "Your family was probably the most simple out of all of us" Hailey said. "Whys that?" I asked. "I have an identical twin who went to a psych ward more than once" Hailey said. "I have two siblings that will kill me if I show any weakness" Marley said. "I have seven brothers" Emma said. We all looked at her shocked. "YOU came from a house with seven men?" I asked. "Eight actually if you count my dad. I also don't have a mom" she said. "Sorry for your loss" Marley said. "Oh she's alive. She just left us" Emma said. "Oh" Marley said. "Ok, lets go meet Emma's family of boys" Hailey said and I started the car.
