Squirrelpelt sprinted up and down the river, searching frantically for Electricwind, and finally spotted her near Sunningrocks. She was desperately clinging onto a stray rock.
"Electricwind!" Squirrelpelt yelled as she hurried to the rock. It wasn't far from the shore, so Squirrelpelt thought she could make the jump.
"Help me you idiot!" Electricwind yowled. Squirrelpelt scowled at her as she leaped to the rock. It was just big enough for the two of them. Electricwind's thistle sharp claws were slipping off the smooth, wet rock.
"Grab my paw!" Squirrelpelt yelled over the rush of the river. Suddenly, they were both blinded by the rain drops that were falling from the sky. Electricwind was rushed off the rock when a wave of water pushed her away. Squirrelpelt quickly grabbed her sister's left paw.
"Pull me up!" Electricwind screeched.
"I'm trying!" Squirrelpelt shouted helplessly. She was getting tired, and at this point, they would both drown.
"AAAAAOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW" Electricwind yowled loud enough that all the prey in the forest would have heard. A branch flowed at high speed right into Electricwind's stomach. The black was replaced with crimson water gurgling around the two cats. Squirrelpelt couldn't keep this up any longer, and Electricwind would die of blood loss before she could ever pull her up.
"Squirrelpelt, i need to tell you something." Electricwind huffed.
"Yes, Electricwind?" Squirrelpelt had tears rolling down her cheeks.
"If I'm going down.....you're coming down with me!!!" Electricwind used every last ounce of her strength to fling herself at her sister. Squirrelpelt dodged out of the way, but Electricwind still clawed her flank. (I don't know where that is :P) Electricwind's face turned from fury to horror as the water surged her out into the land beyond the clans. Squirrelpelt couldn't see her any more, except for the trail of blood that Electricwind left behind. Suddenly, a big wave had formed behind Squirrelplet, and she leaped off the rock just in time.
"Electricwind!" Squirrelpelt wailed. Why had she wanted to kill her? Why did she ever go for that rabbit? WHY??!!! Squirrelplet couldn't stop the tears flowing from her eyes. But, she didn't feel sad at all, she felt furious at Electricwind. Squirrelpelt launched herself back to Thunderclan's camp, to find everyone staring at her. Firestar sprinted up to her.
"Squirrelpelt! Are you all right!? Who clawed your flank?! Where is Electricwind!?" Firestar would have asked more questions if Squirrelpelt hadn't cut her father off.
"Electricwind is dead." Squirrelplet raised her head to look at her clanmates. They had expected horror or sadness in Squirrelpelt's face, but instead it was anger. Squirrelplet stomped off into the warrior's den, ignoring Cinderpelt who was trying to put cobwebs on her wound. Squirrelpelt plopped down in her nest, while Eclipsestorm followed her into the den.
"You were gone the whole day, it's moonhigh now. We were about to send a search party, Firestar didn't want to believe anything happened to you." Eclipsestorm said. 'Had we been gone that long? We should have been back by sunset.' Squirrelpelt thought. Squirrelpelt ignored everything else around her, her brother, the commotion, cats padding into the den, she just closed her eyes, and slept a dreamless night.
(A/N HEYYYYYYYY SOMETHANG HAPPENNEDDDD Electricwind's death basically leads to all the good stuff in the story.)
