Blackpaw twisted and turned as he was fighting off Electricwind and Eclipsestorm. Scourge was analyzing from afar.
"If you need to, you can have a rest." Eclipsestorm said.
"No! I can fight still!" Blackpaw panted.
"You can rest with the few hours of sleep you have left. Now, act weak to let your attacker think you're down. Then when he does his next attack, surprise him." Blackpaw crouched down and let Eclipsetsorm pounce on him. He tried to fling the bigger cat off but it didn't wotk.
"Too slow." Electricwind said.
"You know, he could turn out just as good if we don't train him this harshly." Eclipsestorm suggested. Electricwind glared at her brother.
"If we don't train him like this. Then he'll be weak. He needs to be better than all the other apprentices at his assessment tomorrow. Weak leaders don't last long."
"But, what about Firestar? I'm not saying he's weak, but-"
"But he sees good in others." Tigerstar walked into the training area.
"What do you want?" Scourge growled.
"I'm just saying. With this kind of training, he could be leader just as fast as Brokenstar, but not be as brutal and weaken his clan." Tigerstar replied.
"I did not weaken Shadowclan! I made it better than it ever was before!" Brokenstar popped in.
"Go Blackpaw, don't listen to them blabber. You must be ready for this, for it could decide if you will ever be leader." Blackpaw woke up in the real world when Electricwind's sentence ended.
