Maggie was reading quietly on her bed when she heard the knock on her door, "come in." She put the book down to see Steve enter her room, closing the door behind him. He looked nervous, "what's up Steve?"
He started to pace in front of her as she stood up, "you know how you said I could ask you out on a proper date sometime? I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me tonight?"
Maggie hesitated as he stopped pacing to look at her. She crossed her arms, staring at him, "sure Steve." He smiled and started to leave but she grabbed his arm, "I'm still going to date other people Steve. For now."
He sighed as he turned back to face her, "I understand love."
"Even if it's Buck I decide to go out with? I don't want a competition, or come between you guys. But I really like him."
"I know. It's fine." He ran his fingers through her blonde hair she insisted on keeping now, "I just want a chance to start over. Get to know you better."
"I'd like that too Steve. I look forward to tonight."
He smiled at her again before leaving.
She waited a few minutes before knocking on Bucky's door. She waited for the 'come in' before she entered, finding him in the same spot she had just been in, reading.
"Doll." Bucky smiled at her, standing up to make his way to her.
She placed her hands around his neck. He hesitated, but placed his hands at her waist. "I need you to ask me out on a date Buck."
"You know I can't."
"You can. And you will. Steve doesn't have any rights to me, or who I go out with." She pulled his lips to hers as her tongue danced with his. He placed his hand at the nape of her neck as he moaned. She pulled away, "he asked me out on a proper date tonight. If you don't put yourself in the game, you'll be left behind. And I'd hate for that to happen." She stepped towards him once more, pressing her body firmly against his, "I want to get to know you better. Just us, away from everyone else. Take me out tomorrow night."
He grabbed her neck one more time, his kiss more aggressive this time, making her moan a little too loud. He laughed as he pulled away, laying back on his bed again, "ok doll. Tomorrow night."
She looked back at him from the door, "don't shave. I want to feel the beard on my neck when you kiss me." Bucky didn't say anything, only smirked, running his tongue slowly across his upper lip. She groaned as she left him alone in his room.

Maggie stood in the living area waiting for Steve for their date. She wore a short, dark blue lace dress with black booties and black jacket. She turned around to face him when she heard him approach from behind her.
"Margaret, you look beautiful." She looked up to see him also in blue; a button down shirt and dark jeans. She loved seeing him in civilian clothes.
"No fighting!" She turned around to see Natasha watching them off with her arms crossed.
Maggie grabbed Steve's hand, "no worries Nat. We're okay." She let him lead her to a car in the garage, opening the door for her to climb in as he took the driver's seat. She looked at Steve as he drove to the city, "where to Steve?"
He smiled, grabbing her hand while he drove, "I thought something simple, dinner and a movie. Is that okay?"
"Sounds perfect Steve."
As they sat in the restaurant, Steve poured them both some wine before leaning back in his seat. She grabbed her wine, "so how old are you exactly Steve?"
Steve laughed, "old. I went into the ice at 27. So technically, I'm like 35? But I age slower because of the serum. How old are you?"
"I'm 27. Or I will be in a few weeks. Did you ever have any siblings?"
"Bucky was the closest I ever had to a brother. He had a sister, we all grew up together. That's about it. I was an only child. You?"
Maggie hesitated, not wanting to answer, but she knew would have to let someone in eventually. Especially if she wanted Steve to let her in, "I had a sister, Madelyn. She died when we were kids." She took another drink of her wine before setting it down, "we were both taken to the red room, she didn't make it. They had no trouble discarding the girls they didn't deem worthy."
Steve shook his head, "I'm sorry Margaret."
"It was a long time ago," she shook her head, desperate to change the subject. "So it must have been tough coming out of the ice. A man out of time, with no one you knew. No Buck. No Peggy."
Steve looked at her for a second before sighing, "well, I thought Buck was dead. When I found out Peggy was alive I visited her every so often. She died a few years ago."
She leaned forward in her chair, "I'm sorry Steve."
"She lived a long life, marriage, kids."
After they finished dinner, Steve walked them to a nearby theater. He found a theater playing old movies from the 80's. They sat in the back of the mostly empty theater as The Breakfast Club started. She leaned to his ear, "have you ever seen this?"
He looked down at her as the screen lit her face, "not this one. no."
She sat back in her seat, "I probably shouldn't distract you then."
Steve felt his heart skip a beat, "why? What did you have in mind?"
She moved the armrest between them up, out of the way as she moved her body closer to his. He put his arm up, around her as her head found his chest. She placed her hand on his thigh as she heard his heart start to beat faster. She giggled and looked up at him, "Steve."
He didn't say anything as he pulled her closer to him, his hand at her neck. When he kissed her, she felt like time had stopped as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She moaned as he pulled her into his lap, his hand moving to her legs, holding her in place. She felt him run his hand up and down her leg as he continued to kiss her. It was all he wanted, to be here with her. She pulled away a bit to look up at him, "this is how you properly watch a movie Captain Rogers."
He laughed as he brought a hand up to her hair, gently stroking it. "Then bring those lips back here." She moaned as he pulled her back to him.
After the movie that neither of them remember actually watching, Steve returned them both back to the compound. He walked her back to her room, hovering in the doorway as she removed her shoes and jacket. She turned back to Steve, "I'd invite you to stay the night, but I don't think it's a good idea yet."
He took a step into her room as she approached him, "I know. Did you have a good time?"
She wrapped her arms around his neck, "I really did Steve."
He grabbed her chin, kissing her softly on the lips. "I look forward to taking you out again soon, if that's okay with you."
She nodded, smiling, "it's more than ok, Steve. You should know, I'm going out with Buck tomorrow night."
"I know. He told me." He laughed as he looked down at her, "actually, he said you insisted."
Maggie blushed as she pulled away from him, "I don't want to make a decision without seeking out all the information."
He stepped towards her again, "it's fine. Really. I just want to spend more time with you. Just me and you."
"Me too." She brought her hand to his face, "we should go to sleep. Goodnight Steve."
He kissed her on the forehead, "goodnight Margaret."
