Chapter 15

After the movie Bucky and Maggie went to the kitchen for food, "did you like the movie Buck? Does it do your precious The Hobbit justice?"

Bucky laughed as he grabbed them water from the fridge. He handed her a bottle and sat down on a stool, "it was really good. You gonna watch them all with me?"

"You bet I am." She sat down next to Bucky when they heard the quinjet over head. She looked at Bucky, "Steve is back."

They both ran to the hangar to find Sharon helping Steve off the jet. Maggie ran to him, nudging Sharon out of the way. Maggie heard her grunt at her, but she didn't care as she looked up at Steve, "are you okay?"

He looked at Bucky, "she was a super soldier."

Maggie and Bucky looked at each other, "she?"

"I'm fine." He brushed Maggie off of him a bit as he looked at her. He smiled down at her, running his fingers through her hair, "you fixed your hair."

Maggie blushed, hyper aware everyone was watching them, "for you. I did."

"Thank you." He bent down, kissing her on the lips. "Come on to the conference room." He looked around to see everyone watching them. He looked at Bucky, "I'm sorry Buck."

Bucky only shook his head, "it's fine. We talked about it already."

Sam laughed, hitting Steve on the shoulder, "so we're really done fighting now. Unless that's your thing."

Maggie punched him in the arm, "shut up."

Everyone laughed, except Sharon, as they followed Steve to the conference room. He stood up in front of everyone. "The girl definitely had a form of the serum. She was really strong and really fast. She seemed disappointed we showed up though, as if she was expecting someone else. She wore a mask over her face, sort of like the one Buck wore as the Winter Soldier." He looked at Natasha who put a picture of her on the screen. Maggie looked at the girl. She had long red hair and big blue eyes. Something about her seemed familiar, but she didn't know how or why. She looked back at Steve as he continued, "like I said, she seemed disappointed. She didn't seem to be fighting with her full strength." He crossed arms in front of his chest, "and she stole my shield."

Maggie giggled, looking down at the table, "she stole your shield?" She looked up at Steve who had his hands rested on his belt, giving her the look he does with one eyebrow raised when he wants her to call him Captain. She squirmed in her chair, sitting up, "sorry." She mumbled to herself, "I'm gonna hear about that later." She heard Natasha snicker beside her as Steve continued to talk to the room. Maggie looked at her, whispering, "shh. You're going to get me in trouble!"

She looked back at Steve who was still watching her, "okay. We'll see what else we can find out about her. Everyone is dismissed." He bent down to Maggie's ear so only she could hear him, "wait in my room. Now." Maggie blushed, a chill running down her spine, as she watched everyone leave the conference room. She got up to follow everyone out but Steve grabbed her arm, making her look back at him, "anything to say?"

She looked up at him in his eyes, "yes Captain." He let go of her as she turned to leave. She turned back to him, walking backwards out of the now empty conference room, "oh. And I love you." Steve laughed and winked at her before leaving her to go to the locker room.

Maggie went to Steve's room to wait only to find Sharon waiting on his bed. Maggie left the door to his room open, "what are you doing here Sharon?"

She smirked at Maggie, "waiting for Steve." She sat up on the bed, "you can go. You aren't needed."

Maggie approached the bed, trying to control her growing anger. She couldn't believe Sharon was acting like this when he just made it obvious to everyone that they were together. "I was invited here Sharon. You weren't."
