Maggie didn't know how long she had been asleep, her head resting on the bed of her sister when she felt someone rubbing her back, "Maggie." She looked up to see Bucky looking down at her, "why don't you go to bed."

She sat up shaking her head, "no. I can't. Where's Steve?"

Bucky moved so she could see Steve asleep in a chair in the corner of the room. "He didn't want to leave you alone."

She looked back at Bucky, "and you? Why are you here?"

"Same as Steve." He pulled a chair next to her, "your mom told me you had lost your sister in the red room."

Maggie groaned, "she told you that? She shouldn't have."

Bucky brushed some hair out of her face, "I know. She was worried about you. We all are doll."

She looked up to see Thor, Loki and Natasha outside the door watching them. "I'm fine James." Maggie stood up, crawling into Steve's lap as he wrapped his arms around her in his sleep. She rested her head on his chest and fell back asleep.

Steve woke up with Maggie in his lap, sleeping. He started to run his fingers through her hair as he watched her sleep. He kissed her on the forehead as he rested his head on hers. He started to feel her stir. "Maggie honey. Princess."

Maggie looked up at Steve smiling down at her. "Steve." She stood up, standing over over sister. She ran her fingers through her red hair, "what happened to you?" She looked down at the restraints as she felt Steve approach her from behind. "Are those really necessary?"

He rubbed her back, "it's just for caution. She did technically attack us before."

Maggie sighed, "yeah. But even you said that she wasn't using her full strength."

"That's because I was actively trying not to hurt you, even though I was supposed to." Maggie looked back at her sister as she opened her eyes.

"Maddy! Oh my god." Maggie bent down, trying to hug her sister. She looked back at Steve, "please remove them."

She looked up at him pleadingly, making him groan, "you know I can't love."

"Come on." She pointed outside the door, "Thor and Loki and Wanda are here. She isn't going anywhere." She placed her hand on his chest, "please Steve." She looked back at her sister, "promise the Captain here that you aren't going anywhere and that you won't hurt anyone."

"I promise I won't hurt anyone or try to run away Captain Rogers."

Steve sighed and removed the restraints. Maddy tried to sit up but she clutched her side where she had been shot, "well that still hurts."

Maggie laughed as she helped her sister sit up, wrapping her in a hug. She heard Maddy start to cry as she squeezed her tighter. Maggie pulled back to look at her sister who smiled at her. Maddy looked behind Maggie to Steve, "I should have known you'd go for the hot super soldier."

"Well, it was a toss up between him and the other one running around." Maggie looked at Steve who didn't look amused. She placed her hand on the nape of his neck, kissing him as she felt him rest a hand at her waist, "I was only kidding. I love you."

"I know. Come on. We should gather everyone to talk." He looked at Maddy, "can you walk?" Maddy nodded as Maggie grabbed her hand, helping her to stand. Steve sighed as he led them out of the lab, "alright, let's go."

Everyone filed into the conference as Maggie sat between Steve and her sister. Steve stood up, crossing his arms as he looked at Maddy. He realized Maggie was happy to have her sister around but he still didn't trust her. "So. Would either of you care to explain what is going on?"

Maggie leaned forward, "I don't really know." She looked at her sister, "we were taken to the red room together. After being there for a few years they took her and she never returned. They told me she had died. That's all I know."

Maddy put her hands up, "well. Not dead. Obviously."

Steve looked at her sternly, "this isn't really funny. Care to fill in the rest?"

Maddy laughed, looking at Maggie, "your boyfriend is uptight."

Steve slammed his hands on the table, "do you want back in the restraints?"

Maddy smirked at him, "maybe I do, Captain."

"Okay." Maggie felt jealous, seeing her sister flirting with Steve, "hands off. Steve's right. You need to tell us what is going on." She looked at Bruce, "she has the serum?"

Bruce nodded his head, "it appears to be the same as Steve and Bucky's."

Steve sat back next to Maggie, rubbing her leg under the table. He leaned to her ear so only she could hear, "I love you." She looked up at him and nodded as her sister stood up to address the room. Maggie knew he was trying to make sure she knew he was there only for her. She rested her head on his shoulder as she looked at her sister.

"I was in the red room. They sold me to Hydra as a kid. They wanted to raise their own little super soldier. Hydra continued my training, giving me the serum when I turned 18. I was sent to bring them him." She pointed at Bucky. "They want their Winter Soldier back. But he didn't come." She looked at her sister, "I was hoping you would be there, but you weren't either." She sighed as she lifted her shirt, showing the bullet hole from the day before as well as scars all over her stomach and back. She looked at Steve, "they didn't like that I took it easy on you. They didn't know I took the shield. I stashed it for such a time I was able to get away from them." She titled her head, "which I did. Yesterday. But not without getting shot."

Steve leaned forward in his chair, "how are we supposed to believe that's everything?"

Maddy shrugged, "I don't know. Don't you guys have a mind reader here?"

Everyone looked at Wanda who just nodded. "I don't see anything to indicate she's lying."

"So. Can I stay?"

Everyone looked around as Tony spoke up, "we don't really have anymore rooms."

Maggie stood up, "she can have my room. I practically live in Steve's room already." She looked at Steve, "is that okay?"

"Of course it is Margaret."

Maggie looked back at her sister, "so why you and not me? Or why not both of us?"

Maddy shook her head, shrugging her shoulders, "I don't know. They apparently did genetic testing and I have a disposition for aggression and you don't. And the serum just enhances the personality traits you already have." She pointed to Steve, "loyalty, stubbornness, compassion, a sense of justice. I guess they were hoping they could use that to their advantage." Maddy grabbed her sister's hand, "but I guess they didn't factor in the connection of twins."
