Clary sighed. Her head was spinning. As they had walked back down to the institute, she jace, simon and isabelle were attacked by demons, which happened to be a regular occurence for them due to her and Jace's higher concentration of Angelic blood, but it was broad daylight, and they fought in brouad daylight, which was generally difficult to find between the buildings of new york city. To complicate things further, magnus and Alec had been called away on mission, resulting in Max and Raphael staying with their wonderful Aunt Isabelle, Uncle Jace, and Simon and Clary as well. Clary thought Raphael and Max were lucky, to have so many adults in their life that loved them. And that was how clary found herself sitting in the library pouring over history textbooks on demonologies and searching for anything on Daylight demon attacks. She had tried with this one and with prior instances to create a rune that would somehow find the book she needed, but no luck. She wondered again about why the Nephilim seemed to hate the internet, perhaps because it could be hacked? But still, it was somewhat insane. Max was playing with her hair, it turned out for a three year old, he could manage her curly mess of hair better than some of the adults in her life, and once again, clary had to remidn ehrself that she was an adult too, it felt like yesterday she finding out about valentine, or killing her own monstrous brother. But she had never felt as happy as she did now. Just then a chime from her phone alerted her of a text message

Clary opened up the image to see a page of a textbook, then a second image arrived picturing emma holding the book, showing the cover, also present in the photo was Julian Blackthorn, with a comical eyebrow risen. the textbook TItle was; Case studies of abnormalities in Demonology-1880-1930 the title sounded familiar, maybe it was the dates, clary thought and zoomed the photo up on her phone, the page read
Case 13; Location-London; Year(s): 1903
In London in the year 1903, the Institute was Headed by the Herondale Family, one plagued with some contraversy at the time. Unter the leadership of the Herondales however, london rarely experienced any demon attacks, and even when demons were attacking from the years 1883-1903, they were minor and rarely resulted in any harm or casulaties. This was unexpected but no cause was found for the lack of demon attacks following the Clockwork Battle in victorian London, until demons began attacking during broad daylight, without cloud cover or shadowing, the shadowhutners of london were at a minor disadvantage as they hadnt been fighting demons for the last two decades.
In nearly every attack the demon poisoned a shadowhutner of London,, its main targets being young adults, to worsen matters, the demon(s) at fault couldnt be identified because in nealry every case the demon(s) were defeated, those undefeated fled. There were few Casualties
The demon was later identified as  Mandikhor (A demon native to ancient Persia (Modern Day Iran), which had been summoned by a rogue warlock by the name of Emmanuel Gahst, it is unknown how the demon was identified to this day. Though now, Mandikhor poison can be treated, despite the lack of them since the events in london, and before that, the sighting of a mandikhor was unheard of since ancient times. Mandikhor demons alone are not immune to sunlight however, in this specific case the demon was only partially summoned to the world, the other parts of it remained in a Demonic Realm. It is unknown how the Mandikhor was ever defeated, but the attacks stopped, and it was reported by the silent brothers and the London Insitute and Enclave that the Mandikhor demon was no longer a threat
What allowed the Mandikhor to effectively attack the London Shadowhutners was its ability to split itself into a myraid of demons simultaneously, and its poison that is fatal if not treated properly in shadowhutners, it is almost immediately poisonous to Mundanes as well.

The case of the Mandikhor seemed somehow familiar to clary, but she couldnt pinpoint exactly why, she thoughtmaybe shed read something that mentioned it, but she gave up on the effort to remember and just texted back emma
