Killing Feelings
Bright. Warm. Beautiful.
That's how I can describe the girl that is standing right in front of me, the girl who is clinging to Sol. Mukha siyang na overdose ng happy pills sa sobrang saya, she's a bouncing ball of sunshine while I look like a I just came out of my own grave.
“Luna, meet Sunshine!” masiglang sabi ni Sol. Sunshine really suits her name.
“But you can call me Sunny,” Sunshine added while smiling brightly at me. I just looked into her eyes, I'm just checking if that's a genuine smile or she's just probably faking it.
Hindi mo naman talaga kasi alam kung peke ba o totoo yung tao. Looks can be deceiving, that's a fact. They can look like angels but the truth is they're maybe something else or maybe I'm just overthinking again.
I smiled back at her, ibinigay ko agad kay Sol yung cookies and then tumalikod na ako sa kanilang dalawa. I just changed my mind. I want to go home now. I'm just not in the mood.
Pagtalikod ko ay nakita ko si Azriel na may kasamang babae at ang buhok nito ay kulay ube. Si Azriel lumalablayp? Bakit hindi ako na-inform? Or maybe she is just a friend.
The girl had tiny a moon shaped tattoo on her neck and her hair is really short kaya makikita mo kaagad ang tatto.
Victor Azriel Martin, the guy who likes to listen to k-pop is with a violet haired lady who has a moon shaped tattoo on her neck. I guess it's not a bad match afterall.
Lalapitan ko na sana si Azriel nang may naramdaman akong humawak sa kamay ko.
It's Sol.
“Hey, can you stay a little bit longer?” tanong niya sa akin and as I look into those deep blue ocean eyes... I feel like I'm drowning.
“I uh. Y-yeah sure,” I said hesitantly. Sabi ko sa sarili ko na u-uwi na ako pero bakit nasabi ko iyon? Stupid Luna. Damn, I just hope that I'm not liking him.
Pumasok kami sa kwarto ni Sol, I just realized that his room is spacious. It's painted white, the bedsheets are white. Well this is a hospital room.
Nakita ko si Sunny na naka-upo at ngayon ay kausap na si Sol. I just sat down feeling out of place.
“Remember this Sol?” tanong ni Sunny habang may ipinapakitang litrato sa kanyang cellphone kay Sol. It was a picture of him when he was a kid while eating some ice cream.
Biglang natawa si Sol at tumawa na rin si Sunny. Great, ako nalang ang hindi natatawa dahil hindi ko naman alam kung ano ang nakakatawa dun. The both of them seemed to have a deep connection, a history together.
Ayoko talaga ang ma out of place, sana nilapitan ko nalang si Azriel kanina. Siguro nasa kotse na niya ako and I'm probably talking to that violet haired girl who has a moon shaped tattoo on her neck. Sino kaya siya?
“Hey Luna! Tell me, how did you meet Sol?” tanong sa akin ni Sunny at ngumiti siya sa akin.
What should I tell her? I met this idiot in the forest at sinabi niya na ang panget kong umiyak?
“Uh—” I was about to reply when the door swung open and a little kid with a black hair came running in wearing white clothes, yung usual na suot ng mga pasyente. I forgot what it's called, I think I'm getting dumber each day.
“ROWAN!” I heard Sunny shouted,“Ikaw talagang bata ka! You almost gave me a heart attack.”
Rowan? The kid looked at me for a few seconds and then he smiled. A cute warm smile. He is now hugging Sunny.
“A-ate Sunshine, the doctor already cured me! Okay na daw ko, uwi na tayo ate. I want to watch SpongeBob SquarePants,” sabi ng bata.
Sunny giggled and said, “Say hi to ate Luna muna.”
Then the kid made a surprised look. Natawa nalang ako, bakit parang gulat na gulat ang batang to nang makita niya ako. I am not a superstar.
“Y-you're ate Luna? Kuya Sol said you're a pretty lady, tama siya!” masiglang sabi ng bata. I blushed and Sol's face turned red too.
H-he said I'm pretty?!
“Hey, Rowan masamang magsinungaling,” sabi ko. The kid ran towards me and whispered these words into my ears...
“Kuya Sol said that you're prettier than the sun, moon and the stars above.”
I looked at the kid. I hope he wasn't lying because I'm already feeling butterflies in my stomach.
“Yah! Rovien Wanzler anong sinabi mo kay Luna? Hindi na talaga kita papahiramin ng SpongeBob na dvd,” sabi ni Sol and he pouted.
“Kuya Sooool, hmp! I want SpongeBob!”
“Baka gusto mo Barbie nalang?”
“Ayoko!”
“Sabihin mo sa akin yung sinabi mo kay ate Luna!”
“Ayoko din!”
Sol sighed in defeat, ang cute nilang dalawang mag-away. They look so close. Katabi ko pa rin ngayon si cute Rowan. I just realized that this little kid has dimples.
“Ate Luna, do you like SpongeBob?” tanong ni Rowan.
“Hindi mas gusto niya si Dora na kahit nasa harapan na niya yung bagay na hinahanap niya ay hindi pa rin niya ito makita,” sarkastikong sabi ni Sol, “Dora bulag.”
“Hey! I never said that I like Dora!” sabi ko, “Feeling bad boy Ben10 naman yung brief!”
“Tumingin ka sa underwear ko?! Ew yucks pervert!” sabi ni Sol and I started to laugh. “Luna you are under arrest for looking at my underwear!”
“Hindi ko naman sinabing ikaw! O baka totoong Ben10 ang underwear mo!” sabi ko and I just couldn't stop laughing hanggang sa sumakit na ang tyan ko.
“Asan na ang warrant of arrest mo Sol?” I added.
Sol, Rowan, Sunny and I, we laughed together. I guess going here is not a bad thing after all.
I looked at my wrist watch and decided to go back home. I waved goodbye to them and got in the car.

“Mom I'm home!” I said but I noticed that no one is there. Where could she be?
I just sighed and went to my room. I opened Facebook and then I saw a picture of Azriel and the violet haired lady with a moon shaped tattoo on her neck. There's no caption on the post pero halatang special kay Azriel ang babae.
Hmm...
Nakita ko kaagad ang comment ni Gabriel.

Nevermind nalang, maybe Azriel will introduce her to us.
I closed my eyes and remembered what happened earlier. I am receiving mixed signals.
Shouldn't I let these feelings grow?
Or should I just kill them?
