Y/N and Tanjiro head through the forest observing the scenery chatting about each other's reason for wanting to be a demon slayer. "My condolences, although it seems like they were wonderful people seeing as you're amazing yourself." I gave him a reassuring smile which in turn made him let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you! However, one survived and we've been together ever since." Tanjiro hops up on a ledge offering me his hand, "I got it but thank you. I'm jealous~ I don't remember anything about my parents before uh...before they were killed. I was too young anyway...around 3 or 4?" I climbed up onto the ledge resuming to walk on the chip-like leaves and carpet grass.

Tanjiro was puzzled for a moment, usually, he could smell if there was a sudden switch in someone's emotions. Although he couldn't smell anything from Y/N as if she was hiding something. 'Maybe she isn't comfortable with sharing just yet' Tanjiro was so busy that he didn't see Y/N inches away from his face waving at him. "Sorry, I was in deep thought. Are we getting close to Drench forest?" Tanjiro changes the subject quickly as they continue walking. After a few moments, they had to climb up a hill to find themselves on a cliff that had a thick forest at least 100ft below it. The forest was surrounded by stone as if a massive crater hit it.

"Hmmm...I heard inside the forest it's best to stay clear of the trees with sappy bubbles." I take a few steps back away from the cliff to give myself a running start. "Are you going to jump off?!" Tanjiro watched my actions with a shocked expression. I nodded my head with a smile, "I'm not jumping if I'm being pulled down! Come on, we can go together and use the vines to break our fall." I gesture for him to come over to me and he does so. "The vines are pretty thick so don't worry too much okay?" I take hold of his hand and give it a squeeze watching his face turn a light shade of pink. Y/N took the lead and raced toward the edge jumping off the cliff pulling Tanjiro with herself.

"WHHHHOOOO!!!~" I smiled slowly releasing Tanjiro's hands and when they met the forest the vines stopped their fall. Y/N climbed the rest of the way down but didn't see Tanjiro anywhere. "Tanjiro!?!?" I shouted out his name while looking around the Drench forest seeing the bubbling hot liquid on the trees. "U-uh over here y/n!" Tanjiro's voice rang out and I jogged toward the sound. "Looks like someone could use a little help huh?" I smiled seeing him tangled up in vines hovering over the ground while I pulled out a small knife. Tanjiro nervously chuckled embarrassed and couldn't shield his cheeks from giving him away. I reached up and traced my hand along the vines and began cutting away.

I walked around to his back seeing his box was opened with nothing inside of it. "Um, did you have anything important inside your box?" I cut another set of vines which loosens the entire plant. Tanjiro falls on me, making both of us collide with the terrain. "Oh, are you alright?" He asked me scrambling from on top of me. "I'm fine," They both share a chuckle until he saw the door entrance to the box was wide open with nothing inside. "Damnit! She must have fallen out when we came down here." I watched him look around the area and I looked at him puzzled.

"There was a person inside that small box?" Y/n asked that question more for herself but Tanjiro provided an answer. "My sister was in that box- Nezko, she can't travel in the daytime." He started walking, calling out for his sister. 'His sister can't travel during the day and hides in a box...' I thought to myself instantly assuming she's probably a demon but I better wait and see before jumping to conclusions. "I think she might be in here," Tanjiro gestured toward a nearby cave entrance which Y/n was convinced Nezko was a demon. There was something off about this cave I couldn't pinpoint but thought the both of us were more than capable of handling a little darkness right?
