Tanjiro and Y/n were on their first date together- if you subtract the leaking cave ceiling, the occasional bat, and only a lantern to guide them. Although the secrecy is far from pleasant they found a piece of Nezko's fabric on a rock. "Wait I think I see her up ahead, if that is her." I tapped Tanjiro's shoulder and pulled him closer to me so he had a clear view of the person. "Nezko! There you are! I was starting to worry." Tanjiro walked over to her as I followed behind him studying the girl's features. "Wow, she's gorgeous! Drop the skincare routine please honey." I smiled at her seeing her nuzzle her brother to get rubbed on the head. Nezko comes up to me resting her head on my chest and her eyes seem to smile. "A-ah!" I stepped back a bit caught off guard by her sudden movements. "S-sorry she seems to have taken a liking to you too." Tanjiro pulled her off me helping her inside the box until I just then realized what he said.

"Does that mean you like me too?" I chuckled seeing his cheeks burn a deep crimson shade. "Well, you seem like a fun-loving and delightful person." Tanjiro had his hand rubbing his neck when I was about to speak but no words came out. Y/n saw something coming down the cave from the other end growing closer. "Watch it!" I pushed him out of the way using my body, taking a hit on my left side. The lantern shattered from being knocked out of Tanjiro's hands. A burning sensation followed where I was hit and I hissed in pain clutching my left side. "Y/N! Are you alright!?" Tanjiro felt around for me scraping his hand on some glass but that made me reach toward the sound.

Y/n grabbed his wrist or arm, "I'm okay, it's fine. Let's find a way out of here." My hand was now coated in a heavy liquid that seeped through my clothing. Tanjiro grabbed onto my wrist leading me toward the entrance we entered. Y/n held her sword in her hand now on guard thinking of what demon could come out in the daytime. The recurring theme of demons trying to come on in to the light is what wasn't making a bit of sense. Both parties made it out of the cave into a dimly lit forest. 'Maybe this is enough shade for them to survive from the sun.' I thought to myself captivated in my own thoughts. "What is that?" Tanjiro gently touched my injured side looking at the abnormality of it.

"AHH! Ouch!" Y/n cried out in pain feeling the pain spread through her bloodstream- her side looked infected with a blood orange liquid mixed with her own blood. Tanjiro pulled his hand back, feeling the heat transfer to his hand. "I see someone got infected~ haha," A low chuckle behind us inside the cave put us both in a alerted stands. "I have been looking for a patient to experiment on with this new substance." A slippery deformed demon with blotches of the orange and purple substance on them crawled out of the cave. They were dressed in a nurse outfit and looking down at us with a smile. "I'm Jubli, the ultimate magnificent nurse at your rescue!" Jubli raises her hand shooting out orange liquid at us.

Y/n and Tanjiro split up dodging the substances- Y/n hides behind a tree careful not to touch the sappy boiling bubbles. "Don't run from me!" The demon screamed pounding away at the earth enraged. Jubli rushes in my direction and came around the tree trying to capture me. I grip my sword activating my second form; "Ruinms Fate". Y/n stepped out to the side and swings her sword in a lightning pattern and slice the air in front of her. A light wave wrapped up the demon boiling her skin eating away at it. "Ugh you annoying brat!" Jubli hissed in pain just as I saw Tanjiro come up behind her aiming for her neck. The demon healed herself instantly, laughing activating- "Poison eruption," Jubli claps her hands together forcefully making purple gas spread around the area that erupted into the air.

The purple gas made it difficult to breathe but Y/n hopped back avoiding the gas. Tanjiro took a great amount of gas inside him. I saw him stumble out thick fog coughing up blood, purple blotches appearing on his skin. The demon used the purple gas as an extension of itself forming a fist aiming for Tanjiro. Tanjiro dodged and swung his sword, chopping the fist watching it burst into a liquid state. Jubli repeats her attacks with more speed and precision forcing Tanjiro and Y/n to dodge and swing until the ground is covered in dark gray liquid from the substances. My body was beyond tired of fighting already from the speed we had to dodge and the poisonous substances that infected us.

The battle was an intense decade it felt like, yet they emerged victorious with the final blow of Y/n's sword. They began to limp back towards the village after completing Y/n's mission unaware of Jubli's hidden ace. A massive fist forms from the leftover purple gas. It swarms over behind them towering them- Tanjiro glanced behind him seeing the huge hand. He reacted the moment he saw crystallized spikes aiming for both of them. Tanjiro shoved Y/n away from him, suddenly throwing the box off his back toward her. The crystallized spikes grew inches close to Tanjiro's body as the spikes made some flesh wounds. His piercing cries weakened y/n's, rusted chained heart.

"Tanjiro!!!!!" I shouted, slamming my hand against the ground boosting myself up. Y/n's eyes turn into an endless void with white sparks flying around her as she grips her sword. "Divine Helix!" I screamed, activating an unknown form emerging from pure rage inside me. Y/n drew a "x" symbol and a sudden beam of light shot into the clouds. The demon's cry was muffled by the sound of the blast that soon died out slowly. The area around y/n was singed with the trees now stumps and glowing pastel-colored like ashes floating down as if they're in the water. I felt my cells inside me tearing in half starting at my heart and branching out.

The entire side of my face was bloodied with orange and purple poison in me. Then to top it off I believe I disintegrated a demon by accident. "What a lovely way to end my day." Y/n dropped her sword seeing her blade was melted halfway. She limped over to Tanjiro who had a few crystals stuck in him yet only toward the surface not too deep. The sky was reaching mid-evening as she let out an exasperated sigh. Looks like their first date together was a success, if you could call it that.
