____________________________________________Nighttime came creeping around presenting the bright balls of gas light-years away. Y/n carried Tanjiro back to his friends and escorted him to a doctor immediately. Nezko came out of her box as blood came dripping out. "Nezko-chan what happened to you?!?!" Zenitsu looked inside the box seeing it was stained with Nezko's blood splattered everywhere. "What?!" I look inside the box and examine Nezko worried. She had a few lines of poison showing on her arm but it was healing slowly. "She probably took out the demon and healed herself!" Inosuke came up to us holding a dead rabbit in his hand. I looked at him puzzled and Zenitsu spoke, "You came back with a rabbit...?"
"It's okay to bask in my praise for getting you dinner!~" Inosuke puffs out his chest very proud of himself while we started walking toward the inn Zenitsu pointed out. A sudden coughing attack took over me and blood stained my hand which I had over my mouth. "Hey, are you sure you don't need a doctor too?" Zenitsu spoke to me as we walked inside the inn greeting the young man at the reception desk. "I mostly need a therapist rather than a doctor, but I have a few more errands to run. Will you guys still be in town?" Inosuke came up behind us with a booming voice, "of course we are! They have pretty lanterns here!" I laughed which led to aching pains in my sides from that fight with Jubli. Y/n ended their small conversation to run some errands with many people asking if she was alright or needed assistance.
The people here are more friendly than I thought, considering there were two victims this morning. The night was wasted away with Y/n bandaging up her wounds and taking medication for the poison. She limped herself back to the complex with roast beef and vegetables in a large basket. I slid open the door to the complex and was greeted with a lifeless "welcome home" from Mrs. Saphen. "I got your groceries!" I gave her a half-tired half proud smile and placed the baskets on the desk. "It's about time...I was beginning to think you-" Mrs. Saphen stopped mid-sentence, staring at my melted sword. Her face was written with shock and concern as she looked into my eyes.
I tried to put today's events into a word or sentence opening my mouth to speak but closed it. Y/n took a shaky deep breath recollecting the recent events- but that was the problem. She only remembers it in fragments of a bright beam of light and the words "Divine Helix". Mrs. Saphen stepped closer to me and the warmth of her hand gently grazed my cheek. I snapped myself awake from my trance stepping away, "sorry...I'm going to head up to my room now. Goodnight!" Y/n walked to her room her tired smile sunk downward making her brows furrow. It was around 12 at midnight when I finally came out of the steaming bathroom, my hair suffocating from all the layers of cloth I put on it.
Y/n fell on top of her blanket face down in her pillow instantly passing out. She was still wrapped up in a towel falling deep into dead space. The sun hurries and flies to its meeting point high up in between the stringy clouds. The world of darkness places on its masks for the day while others hide away not prepared for another day. Mrs. Saphen was returning from a small visit from town dressed in yellow and white. She wore a black wolf mask with her hands within themselves in front of her as she slid the door open to her complex. She was greeted by a few children and their father as they walked out. Mrs. Saphen walked through the doorway behind the reception desk to her office seeing Y/n place down a breakfast bowl and hot tea on her desk.
"You made me breakfast in under the hour I was gone...this must be important." Mrs. Saphen walked past me and took a seat in her chair. I began to explain the events that occurred yesterday of what I remembered. When I was close to finishing, Mrs. Saphen took a sip of her tea having wolfed down her breakfast bowl. "I saw my parents being murdered last night. I wanted to believe I was dreaming when I saw who killed them." I stared at the bookshelf resting my hand on my chin with one leg shaking the other on top of it. Mrs. Saphen stiffened in her chair seeing a few tears slip out of y/n's eyes. Y/n wiped them away taking a deep breath and finally looked at her caregiver.
"You told me you were practically my mother's sister!" I slammed my hand on the desk standing up sliding my fingertips against the wood. "You told me my dad saved your life back in Semont!" Y/n slicked back her hair to her neck, and paced the room back and forth seeing flashes of her caregiver slaughtering her parents. "I didn't have any other choice Y/n! Your mother lost control, your dad tried to save you but he couldn't!" Mrs. Saphen stood up from her chair not breaking her composer, trying to explain but I wasn't going to listen. "No! How do I know you're not lying!? You've lied to me about them being killed by demons!" I walked around the desk towards my caregiver, "how do you expect me to trust you!?" Y/n yelled at her, her voice booming throughout the office and a wave of silence took over. "I don't expect you to trust me, but if I hadn't done what I did you wouldn't be here! They wanted nothing more than to keep you safe even if it was from themselves!" Mrs. Saphen stared into Y/n's eyes with a dark expression seeing a stone soul beginning to crack. It was the same look Y/n's mother wore when she lost control.
"At least I wouldn't have been alone, I would have been," my voice cracked, feeling a lump form in that back of my throat. My caregiver reached for me, "y/n-" I smacked her hand away and pushed her back with brute force. Mrs. Saphen hit the desk making the teacup fall and shatter upon collision with the floor. Y/n was about to leave, not sure of how much longer she could face her caregiver. Mrs. Saphen grabbed me but I twisted out of her grip, "don't you touch me!" I warned through clenched teeth. However, she tripped me on my back and held me in place. "Y/n listen to me! You're unraveling! You need to be careful!" My caregiver held me down as I tried pushing her off me, almost reopening my wounds. "Stop thrashing!" Mrs. Saphen commanded just when I felt my cells burning again. I hissed in pain, my vision becoming hazy while I tried to calm down, yet shadows overtook my vision. "Y/N!!"
