I look around my room, it likes like one in a hotel. All crisp, clean and proper, but not very personal. It's small, but plenty enough for one person. The main colors are grey and white with splashes of blue. There's pretty paintings of flowers up on the wall. My desk is in the corner, on it is a small box with a paper.

Meet your personal assistant, Freya.

Enjoy.

-Tony

Well the note was to the point I suppose. I look at the tiny grey box, and it begins to speak, and green holographic images come out of it depicting images.

It says in it's robotic voice, "Hello, Alexandra. My name is Freya, I am your personal assistant. I am here to cater to your every need. You will have dinner with Mr. Stark at 7. And tomorrow you will have breakfast with Mr. Stark. Then you will go out into the city and explore things, and get to know the area. Mr. Stark has already partnered you up with Cameron Dylan. Today, you may explore the tower. However you are not permitted to go on floor 3. That is classified for the Avengers, you will meet them. Any questions?"

Wow, it's like I have a mom. So informative, caring, and nice. That's funny.

"Uhm-m no, thanks... Freya?" I say unsurely. This thing is weird, but cool.

I lean back in my desk chair, this isn't quite what I was expecting.

I hear a soft knock on my door, and a curly red head comes in.

"Hey," he says smiling.

I laugh softly, "How are you liking everything?"

He smiles, "I like it. I wish we could be partners for the city thing tomorrow. Scarlett seems really cool, she's my partner."

"Scarlett, huh." I mumble. He continues looking happy little puppy.

"So uh- do you maybe want to walk around?" He asks.

I'm not feeling it right now. I smile at him, "Uhm I'm still... settling in, thanks. But definitely sometime soon."

He smiles with his pretty white teeth, "k. I'll see you later, Alex." Jack closes the door behind him.

I sit for what feels like an hour. What would dad say about all this? What would my mom say about this? Would she try and claim me because I'm living with Tony Stark. This sounds terrible, but I hope she's dead.

I decide to get up and look around, despite my introverted tendencies. My fingers dig into my palms, keep it together, Alex.

In the living room, Jack and Scarlett sit together talking and laughing.

Alexandra, he's not yours. Why are you jealous, you little bitch? I hate having crushes. I walk to the seat parallel from them and sit down.

"Hiiii." She greets.

"Hey," I say casually.

"This is Alexandra," Jack introduces.

"Oh, he's told me all about you all ready," She says putting her hand on his knee.

"Good things, I hope." I say smiling politely.

"Well I'll see you around, Annie." I say. I have got to leave this room, I can't stand it with those two. It's only the first day, good God

He smiles and salutes me off. I walk into the kitchen, which is far from them.

In there sits a tall boy, leaning against the counter. With disheveled hair and a nice smile. What is it with me today?

"Hey." He says calmly.

"Hey."

"Can you believe those two," the boy scoffs, "they're going to screw each other by the end of the night."

My teeth clench and fists tighten, "Oh, yeah. Probably."

He smiles, "Do you know the ginger?"

I nod my head, "I guess."

He nods, "Any ideas for where you want to go tomorrow?"

My brow furrows, "Uhm, are you Cameron?"

He smiles, waving his long arms up arrogantly, "In the flesh."

"How do you know my name?" I ask curiously.

"May or may have not snuck and looked at the intern list." Cameron says casually.

"Oh, that explains it." I grumble.

He puts his hand on the trim of the cabinets. And looks down at his watch. He looks up to me, "See you later, Alex." He says walking out of the room. My mouth forms a small line, "Bye... Cameron."

Narrator POV

To Alex, the world is... broken. From large groups, such as society, to as small as people around her. She has seen the world in black and white from the moment her father told her why her mother really left. When someone sees the world through a broken lens, one special person can mend their perspective, and give them peace. For Alex, that was almost Jack.

When Alexandra get's attached, she's attached.

Chaos.

Future

Alexandra sits in the small, white jail cell. Like she's an inmate. With black mascara running down her cheeks, and messy hair. Her body feels ten times heavier, with bones broken. Every thing stands still in these moments. Cameron looks at Alexandra. The girl that is so much more than she seems, and now they're locking her up. He runs to the cell, smashing his large hands on the glass. Wishing so much he could break through and rescue her. He would throw it all away for this girl. Jack grabs him by the shoulder, "Hey man, we're gonna fix her." He says comfortingly. Cameron's fists clench, He grabs Jack by the shirt, "Alex doesn't need fixing!"

Jack throws a punch. Parker starts holding Cameron back. Cameron puts his focus onto Alex as he's carried away. If Jack didn't have his little follower, he would kill him. Tony stares at the girl now labeled as "The Monster."

The world will always try to snuff out light.

Alexandra looks at Tony Stark, at Scarlett, looking at her with disbelief. The back of Jack, holding down Cameron. At Parker, following Jack's footsteps like a pup. Then up at the ceiling, she's trapped inside her mind. Her body is now a shell, and she's now a prison of her brain.
