I take Cameron's hand, we walk to the elevator. Cameron presses the 93 floor, then it asks for a key code.

"Oh.." I say, disappointed.

He presses 5.2.9.1.7.0.

"How did you know?" I ask. This boy is full of secrets.

"Magic," He says arrogantly.

We reach the 93 floor, the sounds of angry cars resonante in our ears. There's a covering over the top of the building. To the right there are 5 helicopters, and too many drones to count in glass cases to the left. 50 feet away from us is a green bench, it reads, 'Dedicated to Howard Stark.' We both sit down, staring into the night, and artificial stars.

"So..." Cameron says.

"So..." I say.

"Wyoming, why are we alive?"

He's getting deep. I say, "Don't you dare tell anyone I said this. I hope you don't remember this in the morning anyway. But uh- there's a fine line between living and existing. And everyone was put on here with a purpose, from pathetic to saving the world, it's there."

"You know, Why don't you talk like this all the time," Cameron says drunk looking at me.

I sigh, looking out into the distance, "People never like to hear the truth. Because it tears down the world they've made for themselves."

Cameron looks at me like I know the secret to life. He groans, laying his head on my lap. Ok, this is. This is okay.

He says, "You know Wyoming, you're a lot different than you seem." Cameron drifts off into oblivion.

Great. I've got a drunk, stubborn 6 foot boy laying on me.

I sigh, running my fingers through his hair. It's so soft, and smells like Ice.

I wake up in my bed, still hazy from the night before with my clothes from last night on. I look out the window, the light blinds my eyes.

My alarm clock reads 9:00 AM. Usually there's noise outside from Jack and Scarlett, and the rest of the interns. I really need to meet them.

I peak outside, and see Jack sitting on the couch.

"Hey..." I groan.

"Hey Alex. Everyone's having breakfast on Stark's floor. You wouldn't wake up so I thought I'd wait for you." He says smiling.

Oh my gosh, how angry I want to be.

But I just can't.

"Um. Ok. I'm up now, you can go ahead and go down. I'm just gonna grab a quick shower." I say. I want him to leave so bad... I hate feeling like this.

"Nah, I'll just wait. It feels like we haven't talked in forever." Jack admits.

"Well carrot top, it's been a couple days. And you've been spending time with Scarlett."

I'm in the shower before he can say anything else.

I get out and decide what I'm going to wear.

I choose some mom jeans, a black tank top and a flannel. Then, the cross necklace my dad gave me right before he died. It was my Nona's.

I braid my hair into a long braid running down my shoulders.

I step out the door, Jack stands up looking at me. Into my soul it feels like, ugh.

"Are you ready, princess?"

I roll my eyes.

I respond, "Yeah, I'm ready carrot top."
