Just a cute scene I had in mind. Enjoy :)
Edit: someone also commented something about them making dinner and having a movie night as well, but I had kind of already started this one. So if you commented that let me know if you still would like to see that sorry. I forgot about that until just now————
"Jesus fucking Christ," Amelia mumbled to herself as she opened up yet another box of case files that she needs to review from the agents in her field office. The recent of flow of cases coming in to this field office was exponentially higher than has been recently. So that means, more paperwork for the boss. And that boss, just so happened to Amelia. She was in charge of reviewing every case and then sending it to the directors' office to put into their system and filing. Just when she thought she was done for the day, two more boxes were delivered to her office.
She rubbed her hands over her face with a sigh, trying to rid the tiredness from her eyes. Don't get her wrong she loves her job, but some days it's a little much. Placing her face in her hands with her elbows on the desk, she closed her eyes for a moment.
"Rough day?"
A voice at her office door made her jump, though it shouldn't have. It was Colton.
Amelia jumped in her seat and looked towards the door where Colton leaned against the doorframe. He had his arms crossed over his chest as he looked over to her desk she sat behind.
Quickly plastering her normal smile onto her face, she told him, "Absolutely not, I love doing paperwork until I wither away where I sit." She said with a sarcastic tone but her genuine smile. Colton chuckled at her. "You can take a break you know that right? Like breaks are allowed even for the boss."
Amelia narrowed her eyes teasingly at him, "I'll take a break when I want to take a break Colton. Right now, I don't want too. I'm in the middle of reading over another case. Speaking of which," crossing her arms over chest and leaning back in her chair, "I don't seem to have your most recent case file here. Any idea why that is?" Her eyebrows raised questioningly.
Ever since they had began dating and working together, they had managed to keep personal life and work life separately. Amelia had brought up her concerns to him before officially taking over as the head of field office and he quickly assured her that they were gonna make it work.
Colton sucked in a sharp breath and turned his head away from her, "Got me there. I'm still working on it, it'll be in to you by the end of the day."
Amelia hummed, "Mhmm. Then how about standing in my office door telling me I need to take breaks, you get off your ass and get your work done." Sending him a sarcastic sweet smile, she nodded her head back out towards his desk in the commons area.
Colton let out a small laugh, "Yes ma'am." Sending her a mock salute, he pushed himself off the doorframe and walked back to his desk. Amelia watched after him for a few seconds before rolling her eyes fondly. He can be such a childish person sometimes.
Sighing once again, she turned back to file on her desk. It was going to be a long afternoon.

It was two hours after everyone else went home that Amelia finally left. She was determined to finish at least one of the boxes of case files she had in her office before she went home. Call her a workaholic but she felt like she needed to get it done before going home.
Colton left when everyone else did, but not before coming into her office to see if was going home too. When she told him she was going to stay for a little while after to finish what she was doing, he said that he would see her when she got home and placed a gentle kiss to her lips. Being the boss, Amelia had to be there before anyone else so Colton and her drove to work separately.
