Sunghoon's POV
I awoke at my alarm going off. I closed it right away and got up. I'm feeling quite energetic today if I might say.
After a good hot shower, I blow-dried my hair and went downstairs to play with my dog for a while before heading to school.
"Hey, buddy!" I greeted her happily as I hear her pant.
She's like an instant serotonin boost.
I fed her her breakfast and stayed with her for a good 15 minutes before getting ready to leave.
"Good morning Sunghoon" Hajoon, my father's girlfriend greeted me.
When I heard her, the smile I had earlier faded.
I just nodded in response and continued to tie my shoelace.
"I made you breakfast" she tried to converse with me, but she doesn't know that each time she does it makes me hate her even more.
"Your dad said how much you love to eat this for breakfast-"
"My father knows nothing about me" I replied sharply.
"Oh. Then do you want me to cook you something-"
"Quit it Hajoon"
She paused at my response and I saw her startled expression when I finally faced her.
"I'll have breakfast with my friend like what I always do so stop trying so hard," I said nonchalantly before leaving without hearing another word from her.
It pisses me off. She tries so hard to replace her. To replace my Mom.
I shook the negative thoughts away as I didn't want my day to be ruined. They faded in an instant once I saw Jake outside my house waiting for me.
I smiled. He's another serotonin boost.
"Breakfast?" He offered
"Yes. I'm starving"

I entered the school hallway and my eyes landed on her.
She has her hair hanging loosely today. That's different.
She was reaching for her books as she had a serious expression plastered on her face like always.
She's so beautiful
"Hey mate" I put my arm around her shoulders
She immediately released herself from my grasp.
"Just because I agreed to be friends with you, doesn't mean you can be all touchy with me" she brushed the invisible dust off her uniform
Ah, of course.
Her grumpy self. I laughed mentally.
"I do that to Jakey and he's my friend too"
"That's different"
