Marcus woke up hearing something next to him. He sat up and saw Ame shaking in her bed. He walked up to her trembling body, she was crying.

"Ame, hey, wake up Ame, it's just a dream, Ame wake up," Marcus said while shaking her softly.

Ame woke up after some time of Marcus trying to wake the girl. He took her in his arms and calmed her down. "it's okay Ame, I'm here, you're safe, it was just a nightmare."

Ame calmed down and Marcus stood up to go to his bed again. "Stay" He heard a soft voice behind him. "Stay with me please," Ame asked him. He nodded and made his way back towards Ame. Ame shuffled aside to make room for him and he laid down next to her. Turning to his side he looked the girl in her eyes. "Do you get them regularly? The nightmares."
"I do, that's why I don't sleep." "But you need sleep, not sleeping isn't good for you." "Well, I do sleep, but only when I pass out or when Billy is here, when he found out about the nightmares he decided to he a sleepover every Friday so I can sleep knowing he is there, it helps."

"Well, we will be having a lot more sleepovers if it helps you. So get ready." Marcus said smiling at the girl, he'd do anything for her.

"Do you ever get nightmares?" she asked him. "I do, not so much as I used to and they're a lot less bad now I don't live on the streets anymore but I do still get them yes," he replied.
"Do sleepovers help you?" She asked smiling. "Let's find out shall we?" Marcus said still smiling. Ame kissed him on his cheek and made herself comfortable, facing the wall. Marcus blushed and returned the favour after she had turned around kissing her cheek making her smile and blush. Marcus faced her back and decided to be cold and pull her into his chest.

The pair was woken up by loud banging on her door. Untangling themselves from each other they got up. "You have 2 minutes to get ready then we're taking you." The monks said from outside her door. Marcus and same looked at each other frantically. "In that drawer is stuff from my brother just use that to change." Ame told Marcus pointing at the drawer she put the stuff she 'borrowed' from her brother.
Ame just took some jeans and a shirt out of her closet along with a comfortable sports bra and faced the wall to change.
Marcus was done changing and turned around to be faced with Ame's bareback. He blushed as she turned around once she also finished changing. They put on their beat-up converse. Ame brought a notebook, pen and pocketknife with her before opening the door.

Marcus and Ame were thrown into the room. They were the last to arrive. "What is this?" Marcus asked sitting down at the last free table. "Prolonged confinement designed for behavioural rectification. Detention." Petra spoke. "It's basically hell," Ame said as she sat next to Marcus putting her feet on top of the table.

"What did you do?" Marcus asked Saya who just glared at him.

The room was silent until Master Lin walked in the room.

"Master Lin, all due respect, this must be an oversight because I didn't do--" Chico didn't finish his sentence. "Yeah. Fine, but if I'm getting hit for fighting, shouldn't Willie's ass be in here too?" followed by his question other students started telling Lin what they did.

"You all committed the cardinal sin. You were caught." Lin spoke, he glared at Ame, his eyes looking at her feet back to her eyes. Ame immediately took her feet off the table and sat up straight. "Agoge: Spartan instruction that moulded petulant Greek boys into the greatest warriors in the world. It had three basic tenets: Conformity, discipline and commitment to Sparta over one's own interests." Lin finished his lecture, boring, as always.

A monk went to grab Saya's sword, but Saya wasn't having it. "You want to keep that hand?"
But she backed down once Lin smashed the table "You chose your baser instinct: Rivalry."
