"Oh no you're not, sit down," Isabel ordered the tattooed woman who with a groan retreated.
Bless you, lady.
"But..." Daisy tried to argue, yet still complied under the death stare of her partner.
"What's wrong with you, it's her friend, can't you be a bit nicer. I apologize for my wife Mars, she can be a bit thick-headed sometimes," she scoffed and thumbed up Amira. "Short leash, you get it now?"
Little fairy shaped her adorable lips in an 'o' and returned the gesture. "Got it, auntie," she huffed confidently, meanwhile Daisy and I uttered a well-timed whine. For some reason, Amira learning from the tall blonde felt like a problem for my future self.
The thing was none of them knew that Daisy had all the right to interrogate me, after seeing me at the place that wasn't made for underage teens, clearly doing some illegal stuff. Nevertheless, I was grateful to the woman for not telling anyone, otherwise, I could already be in a lot of trouble, especially with teacher.
"Yeah, auntie Daisy, be nice to Marshall," Amira complained. "She's also growing up without parents," she blurted out and I cringed, but couldn't get upset.
Daisy glanced at me for a second as if reading my reaction and approached the girl.
"What did we talk about when it comes to sensitive topics?" she questioned.
Amira quickly shifted and regret washed over her, as if only just realizing what she has said. "To think ten times before we speak..." she muttered and raised her eyes from the ground, forest green melting into mine as she sheepishly stood in front of me and tugged onto the front of my shirt. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. Are you upset?"
Cracking a tiny smile, I felt a wave of warmness spreading all over my body, she was so adorable, but the way she currently looked at me was exciting. Regretful eyes and face that begged to be forgiven, she cared about my feelings and I never had anyone look at me the way she did.
Aware of being in a presence of her family, but also one dangerous woman I contained my inner desires and only poked her nose jokingly. "All good, don't worry about it," I casually responded still preventing myself from doing something inappropriate.
Her blessed by freckles face has quickly brightened up and I already secretly missed the apologetic expression from her puppy eyes.
Hearing a clasp my head snapped to the side. "Would you like to open your present Amira? Might as well, since we are here already," Isabel proposed while picking up the bag Daisy must have carried inside.
"Yes!"
I smiled at her pure excitement, she was always so full of joy it was endearing to be around, especially since myself I had none of that.
Situating myself on the couch, Daisy sat on the opposite single sofa, having her wife sit on her lap as she played with her hair. This woman was like a king, both of them were. Such a fitting pair, the elegance and fierce energy that came from them both was intimidating yet heartwarming. They were a lot different than Alexis and Vanessa, those two emanated with calmness and pure adoration, meanwhile, these two were like a ticking bomb, preventing each other from exploding.
"So what project are you girls working on?" Isabel asked trying to retain a conversation, while Amira fought with opening a little box.
Right, what project indeed. "Um, well she's helping me with my science presentation, I'm not the best at school, and well... Amira is like a genius," I chuckled.
"Felix, help me. I cannot open this up," the girl muttered from the side.
Isabel smiled brightly exposing her white teeth. "Yes, I'm glad she got a female friend, ever since they moved back into town Alexis told us she's been having a hard time with other girls... You wouldn't notice her being bullied, would you?"
