The sharp autumn breeze played with my hair as I waited for Marshall to come out of the school's front door, not wanting to leave before saying goodbye. Today has been challenging, constant distractions and weird turns of events weren't helpful, but I made it through.
Chris hasn't approached me about his earlier confession, it did make me feel bad, but inside I wished we could just forget about it. Thoroughly considering Tommy's words I decided that it in fact should be done with someone special to your heart. Nevertheless, asking about it during today's dinner should be a good idea.
Experiencing an odd twirl in my stomach the second my eyes landed on the skinny tall girl, I rushed towards her before she even noticed.
There was something about the lazy look she wore, making her so much more attractive. Messy yet stylish hair, I also liked how she dyed it, not sure why she decided to change that, but either way, it looked awesome. I had to spend a lot of time taming my frizzy mess, with tons of conditioning to make it look silky and presentable.
"Hi!" I greeted moving up and down on my toes, containing my excitement as her milk chocolate eyes – because to hell with dark chocolate – connected with mine.
"Hey..." she looked around nervously. "You waited for me?" she asked in disbelief.
Tilting my head in a questioning manner, why was it so hard to believe?
"Yep. Wanted to say bye-bye before the weekend." I grinned happily swinging to the sides, having a hard containing myself.
It was charming when she blushed, she thought I never noticed since she skillfully turned her head down, but unfortunately for her, the pale skin showed it all.
"Don't hide it," I pointed out and carefully laid my hand on her cheek, giving it a few affectionate circles with my thumb. "I like it."
Feeling her mumble inaudible words and chewing onto her inner cheek, Marshall was the cuties, but what I loved the most was that only I could make her act so out of character.
It was thrilling.
"Can we see each other tomorrow?" I wondered, wanting to see if it was even a possibility.
Her hand rested itself on mine as she slowly took it off her cheek, that's when I knew it was a no.
"My apologies princess, I... I'm not sure how tonight will turn out. You better," her voice cracked. "You better don't get too close." It stung horribly, I didn't like it.
"Are you..." I wasn't sure whether it was appropriate to ask. Daisy did say think ten times, so doing exactly opossite I asked, "Are you safe?" I had to know, that's why I didn't like how she hasn't answered, instead smiled wearily, as if tired of the life itself.
Her smokey voice blessing me with goosebumps. "Have fun at dinner," she told me warmly, almost as if giving me a hug, which in reality she was too scared to give.
I didn't want to part ways, having a hard time hiding my disappointment when she refused to see each other, I got an idea.
"Are you in a rush?"
She seemed to think for a second before responding, "Why?" she chuckled at my sudden excitement.
"Assist me with buying flowers? Mum told me to get some before dinner, we could grab a drink on our way there." Yes, it was a perfect idea!
"Um..." she hesitated. Always so hard to persuade. "I mean sure, just-" not letting her finish I took her arm and dragged along towards town. "Amira," she whined when we approached a little coffee shop, beautifully situated between two old chestnut trees with its leaves painted by Autumn itself. "Please... I don't have money for this..." she whispered sheepishly.
