The first week back was great. Teachers cut you some slack and no one even expected any homework. Illusion quickly broke however, the moment I got overflown with exams that had to be retaken in order to completely catch up. The worst of it all? Everyone was already done, preparing for the winter break.

"This sucks!" I complained about the equation that was beyond my capabilities.

"Don't be a baby," Chloe nagged while correcting her lipstick.

Amira gave her a dirty look, which was kind of amusing. The way she reacted to Chloe was always fun to watch, especially whenever it had something to do with me.

"She's not being a baby," Amira interjected.

Gesturing with my hands I added before she could finish, "Thank you."

My little fairy rolled her eyes at me, which was just mean.

"She's simply being lazy," she finished and pointed at me to continue.

Tommy snickered from the side, earning himself a quick death stare. Everyone was against me, but in order to get it over with I worked out the last exercise and exclaimed victoriously, "Done!"

"Congratulations, it's been two hours. Can we go now? The movie starts in thirty minutes." Sarcastic prolonged clasps and Chloe's snarky tone made me pout.

Once others began to get ready Amira approached me with my coat. "Good job, now my prince is also smart."

Scoffing I put on my coat and leaned towards her ear with a playful remark. "Don't be moody baby, it doesn't suit you."

Her eyes traveled away as a tiny blush rose on her freckled cheeks.

"Hurry up lovebirds!" Chloe teased with a smirk and I shook my head. Seriously, she was purposely trying to get under Amira's skin, and my adorable fairy unwarily allowed her to do so.

Tommy nudged Chloe and most likely told her to take it down a notch before the four of us headed out. Today was the premiere of some popular movie everyone was excited about, and I willingly allowed myself to be dragged along.

Lots of familiar faces it almost felt like the entire school was here. Breathing into my hands, the air was sharp and the queue had no end.

Flinching at the sudden touch, my left hand has been carefully embraced by Amira's. Entwining our fingers I hid our hands into the pocket of my coat. We stood closely, not speaking, simply enjoying the moment as Tommy and Chloe argued about some irrelevant thing.

Once inside I quickly dropped my secret hopes of a romantic movie time when Amira's and Tommy's excitement nearly made everyone else leave. Those two screamed at every possible turn of action. I guess this was fine too, it was nice to see them happy. Chloe watched like a normal person, while I couldn't exactly focus on the plot, finding myself stealing glances at the girl.

"Be right back!" Amira uttered after we finished the movie.

Waiting for her to return from the toilet Chloe and Tommy chatted about one particular scene. My friend was so captivated by the plot that he has decided to rewatch it next weekend. Either way, I found it amusing how a simple movie could make them this excited, but who was I to judge. This being my first time at the cinema I had to say, I enjoyed myself.

"I will go check on her," I informed worriedly when my little fairy was gone for longer than fifteen minutes.

Heading into the bathroom it seemed to be empty except for two ladies washing their hands. "Amira?" I asked once they left, but no response gave me an unpleasant twirl in my stomach. "Maybe we missed each other," I mumbled as I walked out, ready to head towards my friends until a voice in my head told me to check the darkroom at the end of the hallway.
