For the past hour I only conversed with Julian and Lizzy, while the guy I now know as Giveon and his girlfriend Andrea had their own secret conversation.
Every other minute I'd notice him glance over in my direction, but turn away before I could catch him. I wonder what he thought of me. I wonder what his girlfriend thought of me, I can only assume she isn't to fond of me.
And if that's the case, then it has to be out of jealousy because I've given this girl no real reason to not like me.
"You should talk to him" Lizzy whispered in my ear, making me jump a little. I looked over at Giveon, noticing he was already staring at me while his girlfriend blabbered about whatever. Thank god for my brown skin, or else the serious blushing I was doing right now would be displayed on my face.
"But he has a girlfriend." I whispered back, finally turning away to face Lizzy.
"So? They break up like every other week. It's honestly tiring to be friends with the two, because of their messy ass relationship." She frowns.
"Yeah but I'm not a home wrecker. I think I should just stay clear of him." I whisper, sneaking another glance.
By now he was already engaged in whatever conversation him and Andrea were having.
"It's not home wrecking if he wants it too." She winks. I squint my eyes, as I tried figuring out where she was going with this.
"Poor naive little GG, here put your number in my phone. We have A LOT to talk about." She giggles, making me do the same.
I grabbed her phone and did as such. Right on cue, my mother came outside with a small smile on her face as she nodded at the small group that surrounded me.
"Georgia honey your fathers ready to go. He has work quite early in the morning, have you eaten yet?" She questions, making me shake my head no.
"No but I'll just grab a plate to go." I said before getting up, and making my way over to where she stood.
"It was nice meeting you guys"
Everyone hummed or nodded. Everyone except for Lizzy. She got up, and pulled me in for a hug before telling me to have my phone off silent so I'll know when she calls.
*Next morning
"But like French guys are really confusing. They don't know what they want." Lizzy said over the phone, as she attempts to curl her hair for the photo shoot she has in an hour.
"I think that's just men in general honestly." I chuckled. I was currently doing class work for my calculus class. My strong fit has always been math, so this isn't much of a problem. Math and English really, but my life would be so much better and easier if History never existed.
I hated that subject with a strong passion.
"Yeah... but let's talk about you stealing Giveon's attention last night." She smirked.
I let out a breath, as I tried fighting off the smile that so badly wanted to make its way to my face.
"I don't even think he noticed me like that Liz. His main attention was on Andrea, and it should've been that way."
"Stop being an in-denial bitch. He was checking you out, and no offense against both Andrea and Giveon... but they aren't lasting to the next year. I'm calling it now, it's gonna be Giveon and Georgia." She squeals like a fan girl, as she then begins adding red lip stick to her thin yet full lips.
"Whatever. Anyways I need to finish this work. Let me know how your shoot goes later." I smiled into the phone, while trying to wrap up this conversation.
Not because I didn't wanna talk to Lizzy, because I definitely did. She was a cool girl, and we've honestly been on the phone for an hour going on two hours now. But the thought of Giveon actually checking me out made me nervous as shit.
"Alright girly. I'll be planning your future wedding in the meantime." She smirks, and before I could say anything else, she quickly hangs up the phone.
I shake my head, before placing my laptop on my bed. The furniture came in earlier this morning, so between doing my school work, I've been also putting my room together.
It's coming along well, but now I'm hungry.
As I make my way downstairs, the sound of tussling pans hit my ears, making them ache a bit.
My moms probably putting the things in the kitchen away.
"Hey momma I'm hungry. I was thinking of stopping at the cafe down the street from us.. would you like something?" I questioned, catching her attention.
She looked more than exhausted.
"Yes please. Just a chocolate croissant, you know our usual." She smiles tiredly, making me do the same before grabbing my house key.
I plug my head phones into my ear, and hit my 'after hours' playlist by the weekend. I'll honestly say that the weekend is one of my favorite artists. He's like the Michael Jackson of this generation.

Once I finally made it to the Cafe, I opened the skinny glass doors, and my nose instantly got attacked by the heavenly scented bread and coffee.
"Bonjour, comment puis-je vous aider?" ( Hello how may I help you?)The brown skinned girl spoke with such boredom in her tone, but still managed to give me her best smile.
"Uh I only speak English... sorry?" I say, hoping she can understand me.
"Oh thank God. Putting on my best French face is fucking exhausting... I mean.. shit the harm is already done." She giggles making me do the same, as she then smiled at our little interaction.
"It's fine, words slip from my mouth all the time." I reassured her.
"Yeah but working here you have to be careful. French people take everything to heart." She waves me off, before looking behind me for a split second.
"Yeah I've encountered a few." I mentally roll my eyes as the thought of Julian surfaces my mind.
What a dick.
"There will be more. But anyways, what would you like today?" She smiles, before moving out of the way so I can see the menu.
"Um just two regular black coffee's, and two chocolate croissants."
After paying, I wait on the side until my order is finally ready for me to take.
As I'm leaving out, I quickly walk down the street as I got a good glimpse of both Andrea and Giveon walking hand in hand towards the cafe I was once at.
Once I finally arrive home without getting stopped, I let out a breath of relief before entering my home.
