"This is Leonardo's man cave. Every hard working business man needs their space, especially when they've had a long day. I built this entire room for him, well more specifically, I decorated it." Mrs Monet smiles very proudly, earning small chants from the other woman who later joined me, my mother and Mrs Moulin.
Breakfast was wonderful. After talking a bit and expressing my interests for my future, Mrs Monet decided to give us all a tour and show the grand basement her and her mother decorated together.
I was beginning to grow bored, so I excused myself to the bathroom, just so I could get away for a little.
By the time I reached the level ground, my breathing had increased to the max. I took a minute, allowing myself to lean against the wall and take a breather.
Right as I'm about to close my eyes, someone behind me clears their throat, making me jump.
"Can't get enough of me I see."
That all too familiar voice spoke. I could hear the amusement in his voice, almost making it impossible for me not to roll my eyes.
"Julian I see you've made your entrance." I said, making him shrug.
"Not really an entrance if I once lived here." He smirks, before greeting the cook in the kitchen and grabbing himself a bottled water from the fridge.
"Let me guess." He pauses, running his index finger against his chin slowly, as he leans his back up against the kitchen island.
"You were forced into coming to one of my mothers breakfast events, so you excused yourself because you felt as if my mothers company was suffocating."
Not exactly...
"What? no. I love your mothers company, it's just I needed a small breather for a second."
"Sure." He smirks, making me frown.
"Mrs Bell, why don't you go fetch yourself something to eat. I'm sure you're hungry." Julian insisted, making the smaller lady smile.
"Your father would not approve." She frowns, making him do the same.
"He's not here. And so when he isn't here, I'm the man of this residence. Now go relax yourself." He orders a bit more sterner this time.
"Yes sir." She responds softly, before hanging her apron on the closet door, and making her way upstairs to I'm guessing her room.
"Coffee?" Julian smirks, making me shrug as he then grabs a container of coffee grounds and places it on the island.
"Grab two mugs for us." He points out, making me nod as I then open the cabinet near the sink, and pull out two mugs of the same pattern.
"So what do you have planned for today?" I question, before setting the mugs down on the island.
"Well I'd just gotten back from my photo shoot, so nothing for now. Later on tonight, my good friend Giveon is performing at a theater for a ballet recital." He shrugs. My eyes widen in surprise. I never would've ever thought Giveon was the type to play a piano.
By first glance, he seemed like one of those guys that got any girl in school, and played almost every sport. There were a couple of those in my school, and because of Instagram, I can see they did nothing with their lives.
"Could I come? Or is it invitation only?"
He doesn't smile, but the corner of his lips raise some as he stares at me with amusement.
"Sure. Elizabeth actually brought two tickets, and meant to ask if you'd like to join us." He shrugs, making me nod.
"Great I'll come... so I have a question." I smirked this time, before boiling the water for the coffee. He was taking to long, so I might as well take the first step on making a good homemade, well heated coffee.
He nods for me to continue.
"You and Lizzy huh." My smirk soon turns into a grin.
"No." He shakes his head almost too quickly.
"Why not, y'all would be cute." I frown, as he stares at me in disgust.
"Elizabeth isn't my type. I look at her as a younger sister, seen as how I've known her since we were kids."
"Well what if she likes you?" I plop my elbows up on the island, and sit myself in one of the stools.
"That's too bad. I have my eye for someone else." He shrugs.
"Ohh who?" My grin widens like a Chester cat.
"Must you know?" He groans, making me nod vigorously.
"Cut off the water. Let's grab a coffee from a cafe." He grumbles, before tossing on his blazer and disappearing from the kitchen.
I was nosy, yes I knew that. But is that such a crime? Maybe I've seen little miss mysterious girl around before.
