Hey Guys!
Just so you know, I have a ton of stuff going on rn, and I can't remember what request was what so I'm just doing it all randomly, so sorry if yours takes really long, I promise it will get done. The Far From Home one-shot won the poll so I will be doing that one as well, but this one is really short and I thought it was cute, so enjoy!
SHIPS: Pepperony
INFO NEEDED: Tony and Pepper got married right before Civil War in secret and found out Pepper was pregnant about a year later. This takes place 6 years after Civil War, and the accords have been settled(thanks to Tony), but the team is still trying to mend their relationships. Spidey doesn't have his powers yet, so, therefore, he wasn't a part of Civil War, and Steve threw his shield first, starting the fight instead. No one knows about Pepper and Tony's marriage or that they have a kid. Peter is 4 and is Tony and Peppers biological child.
On With The Story!
——————————-
3rd POVThe Avengers had just been assembled for a last minute meeting to discuss how they were doing as a team, and (surprisingly) everyone had showed up on time. Everyone was placed strategically around the circular table with no one sitting by someone they didn't like.
Steve is currently talking to the group and getting very agitated because someone (I'm pointing at you Tony) kept on checking their phone to see what time it is. Finally, when he did it for the 10th time in the last five minutes, Steve snapped.
"What, you have something better to do Tony? We are trying to get to the team back together here, and you just keep checking your phone!"
"As a matter of fact Rogers, I do have something better to be doing, Pepper will kill me if I am not there on time, and I made a promise. Also, the team wouldn't need putting back together if you just kept your cool instead of throwing the shield and picking a goddamn fight!" The older Stark responded, slowly getting up as he is talking only to sink back down again when he is done, looking even more tired than when they started this meeting. "Can we just get this over with, I was supposed to be on a plane 5 minutes ago."
"No, we cannot just 'get this over with', we have a duty to the world to become a team again, and hell will freeze over if we post pone it just so you can, what? Go get drunk in Las Vegas?!" Steve says, angrily, yelling as he continues on, and slapping both hands on the table as he stands up, looking at Tony who sits across from him with a so-called death glare that Tony had gotten very used to when he worked with Rogers and the other Rogues in the past.
"I-" Tony starts to talk and stand up, placing his hands on the table before the door opens and something unseeable to half the table (and extremely confusing to the other half) comes in. Natasha and Rhodes, who also have the same commitment as Tony, smile as the unknown person leaps into Tony's arms, and burrows his face into his chest.
"Mommy said to come and save you." He says, cutely and so quiet that Steve almost didn't hear it.
"Good job, bud, consider me saved."
"Your late for my party, daddy." He says looking into Tony's eyes. Daddy? Steve thinks. Since when did Stark have a kid?
"I know, bud, I'm so sorry about that. But I'll make it up to you." Tony says squeezing his son tighter.
Peter looks around the room and suddenly noticed that there are other people in the room. He curls closer to his dad until he sees someone he recognizes. "Aunt Nat!!" He screams, wiggling out of his dads arms and running on the table to reach his aunt, jumping into her arms, squealing with delight when she catches him and holds him close.
"Hello, my little spider, Happy birthday." She says hugging him tight.
"Are you coming to my birthday party, Auntie Nat?"
"I sure am, I wouldn't miss your birthday, little spider, you're my nephew."
"And I want to see my godson." Rhodey said from next to Nat, making Peter squeal in delight, when being passed to his uncle. "Happy Birthday, Peter!"
"Uncle Rhodes! Are you coming to my birthday?" Peter says, hugging Rhodey as tight as his little four year old arms can.
"Of course, buddy! Four is a big number, I wouldn't miss it for the world!"
"Alright, hold on, who is this kid and why don't I know about him?" Fury asks, finally stepping out of his shock, and making the rest of the Avengers do the same. While Peter reaches out to his dad, and curls into him when he sees the man he has never seen before.
"He is my son, Peter. And today is his fourth birthday. We were supposed to go to Disney so that he could ride the rides and ask how they were made, as well as if he could design one. He has a lot of talent for that kind of stuff; last month, he stayed in his room for three hours, and when he came out he had a full on sized up scale of a roller coaster and an explanation on how he would build it. The meeting kind of threw us off of the time schedule, and I told Pepper that I would try and make it out of the meeting on time. Now that I think of it, this is the only time she had actually permitted and encouraged me to leave a meeting before it ends. Anyways, Peter is a really big fan of all you guys, so he might be a little shy." To y explains, holding his son close.
"Who's the mom?" Steve asks, curiously.
"Pep, of course. We got married right before Civil War happened, and found out she was going to have Peter about a year after. We have successfully kept our marriage out of the press as well as Peter, and we would like to keep it that way for a while. Pep and I will most likely announce tot he public that we are married soon, but we want Peter to be kept out of the public eye so that he has a normal childhood."
"Oh." This was all that Steve could muster in this second.
"Daddy." Peter says, so quiet that some had to strain their ears to hear.
"Yeah, bud?"
"It's the Avengers."
"Yeah bud, they are the avengers."
"YOU NEVER TOLD ME YOU KNOW THE AVENGERS!" He says, loudly, making the others laugh. "Can I meet them?"
"Maybe another day, bud, but your mom is gonna be mad at both of us if we don't leave soon."
"Oh yeah, we don't want that. It makes me sad when mama is mad or sad." Peter says cutely.
"You're right about one thing Tony, I'm gonna be mad if we don't leave right now. And thank you buddy, that is very sweet of you, come give me a hug." Pepper says, walking into the meeting room, taking Peter from Tony to give him a hug.
"I love you, mommy."
"I love you too, pumpkin." Pepper says back, hugging him even tighter. "Now, come on, let's go to the plane, your daddy will be right there this time, and NOT fifteen minutes late." She says leading Peter out of the room, glaring at Tony before she shuts the door.
"Yes Steve, I do have something more important than this meeting, I have my family that means the world to me. I will be happy to have this meeting any other day, but today I have an obligation to my wife and son, who just so happens to be a huge fan of you and would love to meet you. I hope you don't disappoint him. Now, if you would let me, I have a plane to get on. You are all welcome to come, I bought tickets for all of you." Tony says, getting up, and starting to walk out the door along with Nat and Rhodey.
"Tones, don't forget, we have to grab the Barton's on the way!" Nat reminds him as they all walk out.
The others look at each other before fighting about who will get out the door first, eager to meet the cute child that just walked out of the room with his mother. Fury chuckles to himself one they are all out of the door before following them, a slight (almost unseeable) smile upon his face.
