Once the sun has finally set, it gave way for the moon to rise. A blanket of stars and darkness filled the sky, looming over both the town and the forest from down below. A familiar black coat blended perfectly with the darkness that surrounded it. That was aside from those emerald green eyes, which glowed ominously amidst the shadows emitted by the leaves.

Lifting his head just a bit to sniff the air, the familiar yet infuriating bright indigo scent then filled his nostrils. Lowering his head back in place, his green eyes suddenly narrowed down in a vengeful manner.

"I got you know!" He whispered to himself with a voice laced with pure cold hate.

The black wolf wasted no time and proceeded to follow the scent, hoping to find it's very source as soon as possible.

"I care less about what you did to me, but that doesen't mean I will forgive you for what you did to mo chara!"

Then from out of the blue, a howl suddenly echoed across the forest. Hearing it alone was enough to make him immediately drag his heels to a stop just so he could turn to face the very direction where he thought it was coming from. There was no mistake, that howl sounded just like...

"Shoto!"

He must be waiting by the oak tree already, he thought. Turning to look back at the bright indigo scent trail, which in no doubt will lead him to the threat. Even he himself wasn't certain why, but he just couldn't help but turn to face back at the very direction of that howl once again.

He really needed to find that intruder and chase him off his forest as soon as possible. That's if he wanted to prevent another attack, or may be even protect his pack as well as his territory, especially his townie. But the instant he heard the familiar howl that undoubtedly belonged to his townie, it felt as though a flip was switched inside him, compelling him to go to him instead.

After a moment of contemplating to himself, switching his head back and forth to face the two different directions he needed to go, he appears to have finally made up his mind. The black wolf ecstatically smiled, lifted his head high up in the air and loudly howled back. Afterwards, he immediately pushed his heels and began running towards the very source of the howl from earlier. Rather, run back to see his beloved townie again.

Beneath the oak tree and on top of it's peculiarly arched branched sat a familiar wolf with a white coat, glittering in the moonlight in contrast with the darkness. Raising his head high up in the air, the wolf then let out a howl, which echoed across the vast yet quiet woods. It didn't take long before another could be heard howling back at him, the white wolf's ears instantly perking up simply by the sound of it.

Standing up from the branch, it was clear the white wolf couldn't contain his excitement just by looking at the way how his slender tail happily wagged back and forth. Amidst the shadows of the trees, another wolf suddenly appeared, it's black coat as dark as the night sky. The white wolf's mismatched eyes brightened the moment they were met with the black wolf's green ones.

"Izuku!" The white wolf happily exclaimed as he hopped off the branch and immediately ran towards the other.

"Hey, Townie!" The black wolf greeted back in between pants, equally as happy and excited as he was to see the other. "Sorry I took so long to get here, I was...busy doing things!"

"Typical Izuku, always late!" Shoto chuckled as he shook his head.

"Hey!"

"What?! I'm just simply pointing out that I'm always the one who gets here first!"
